Marina Sands Bijou Boutique — Hotel in Nesebar

The only thing good about this hotel is the location next to the beach, although you have to walk some distance from the hotel to get to the beach. Also the hotel is new and it has great potential, however the staff, services and food brings it all crumbling down. Before I get into the food in the next section, let me tell you about the staff. The cleaning ladies smell of perspiration, and I mean your nose will fall off. We got into an elevator with one and we almost lost our lunch. There was a friendly guy at the reception who even spoke our language, but he turned out to be a huge disappointment as well. He treated our friends awful with spiteful remarks like"Do you want to stay in this hotel or not?"or "Don't you appreciate me talking in your language". No we don't appreciated that. We appreciate when after a 6 hour trip with a small child you are treated with respect. The beds were not changed, not even the garbage was taken out of the bin. When our friends arrived they had to stay around the reception waiting to pay for their room in order to eat. No hospitality, just rude and totally oblivious. The staff at the reception speaks english poorly or none at all, they didn't explain anything about the hotel. The animation team is a joke, and all they do is put loud, bad music at the pool. By the way no one wants that awful music at 10:00 am while they are drinking their coffee.The same program day after day. Horrible and annoying. Not one sane person would enjoy something like that. The staff of the hotel, their management, will bring this hotel down fast. The hotel is new so that's why you see the high score. That score will drop fast. The actual score of the hotel is 4-5 and that's because of the location and the quality of the hotel as a general. Services 0, Staff 0, Food -500. Drinks are the quality you'd expect from an all inclusive - bad, but nowhere near the quality of the food. I am serious, stay far away from this hotel. If you end up here you will starve. I just finished a pizza, as soon as I got home I ordered one as for three days that I've been at this hotel, I was starved. The food is beyond bad. I wouldn't feed this to my dog. The people who actually gave positive reviews about the food must have extremely low standards by any means. Romanians in general are used to very good food. Maybe the management of the hotel believes that people like to eat absolute garbage, and the can get away with it. Not only is the food bad, but it's non existent. The number of things you can eat you can count on one hand. When I say that there is a limited number of dishes I am not exaggerating. For example in the morning you have some boiled eggs, who were very old by the way and I threw them away, some beans, some sausages probably made in Chernobyl, one type of salami, one type of a prosciutto that must be made out of cardboard and painted red, some horrible salads, cereal and that's about it. Some joke of scrambled eggs, that you wouldn't feed to a cat. Two types of cheese one of which is silicon I believe. And you can find this kind of garbage at lunch and dinner. At lunch for instance the meat was undercooked and full of fat. The only thing I could eat during my stay was some pasta with a sauce, that they also serve as a soup by the way. It was literally a soup the first day we got there, and it was a pasta sauce the next day. I actually ate that pasta everyday for my whole stay, or fries with one of the cheeses that was not silicone. I starved to death.The are literally making a mockery out of everyone staying here. The manager of this hotel and their entire staff should be fired and replaced. It's beyond words how bad the food was. I have traveled to a lot of hotels and countries and this by far, is the worst place I have ever stayed in. Did I mention that this morning they didn't even have bread.One guest actually almost got into a fight with one of the bodyguards because there was no bread in the hotel. Forget about deserts by the way, they are non existent. There are...

A short description of this hotel for those who are unsure why it doesn't have many reviews on Booking but still nothing seems wrong with it.

I went between 9-13 September 2020., a little unsure if it really is a good hotel considering that it had few reviews, although good ones.

I had a reservation on booking but when I arrived I was offered the chance to cancel this reservation so I could enjoy the Ulta-All-inclusive services. (Only then did I realize why the hotel doesn't have many reviews. In order not to pay to Booking any fees, the Hotel provides Ultra-All-Inclusive services to customers, not just the All-Inclusive one. Somehow a win-win for everyone. )

I arrived earlier, it was not a problem, the rooms were ready before anyway.

Rooms: look exactly like in the picture, clean, tastefully decorated, spacious, bathroom in the room. and so on

Food: very tasty, extremely diverse, enough options, also vegetarian options, there is a section called "low calorie" (food cooked in steam or without oil, etc.), different fruits, cakes (cake, rolls, etc.) different assorted meats cooked in different ways, vegetables, fresh salads, sauces, including pickles. Snacks, donuts, burgers, etc. I could go on and on. It really was a tasty and diverse food.

Hotel: it is quite well hidden in a wooded area. As long as you use a navigation system, there should be no problems. It is located 10 meters from the beach, sunbeds are FREE and have exotic straw umbrellas, parking is also free (both underground and outside the hotel) is free, the beach is clean, it is still unattended (there is no lifeguard, being a wild beach), clean water. The food can be taken on the beach and enjoyed there, no one will comment.

Pool: there are 3 pools, all three connected to each other but still separate. One large, one medium and one for children with a maximum depth of half a meter. They are very clean, the water is also kept clean, without an excessive amount of chlorine, warm. Around the pools you will find sunbeds, and they are free. As with any hotel, these and the ones on the beach will be reserved by others in the morning, so I recommend that you wake up and reserve in advance.

Staff: kind and promising, smiling. Activities: there are activities for children (all kinds of games, dances for the little ones, etc.) (the hotel offers an indoor playground but also an outdoor playground for the little ones), but also for adults (beach volleyball, in the pool, artistic evening, music, dance, special guests, dancers, etc.

The only thing that was "unpleasant", but of course, due to the period we are going through (COVID-19), it is understood and expected, is that glass glasses are not available (you will only have glass glasses in the room hotel), but only plastic, of course, to avoid the spread of the virus It is still a waste of plastic, but I repeat, to be expected.

Otherwise I recommend with confidence, very good value for money. I will gladly...

The beach is clean , with free sunbeds.. Wild and nice beach in the neighbourhood..But no beachbar, and the poolbar is not too close.. Rooms are clean, spacious..I suppose accidentally we found our toilette dirty when we arrived.. We stayed in two bedrooms apartement, but just one bedroom had aircondition...The food at restaurant was OK, but not really rich offer...The snacks between main meals were not varied and enough. Just some donuts, wafels, burgers, crackers and pizza, not enough for everyone, just for luckiest, not for those who arrived later... The lady who made pizza, was very unkind and unpolite, never with a little smile on her face. She humiliated me when I asked for 3 slices of pizza, one for each my family member, not even one for me..She gave me a slice, then another one and she refused to give me the third one...This is an unacceptable behaviour from an all inclusive resort employee..Otherwise I have never seen till then alcohoolic cocktails made by an automatic cocktails machine, poor quality of course..Animation was very poor, during the day something at the pool area, at evenings kids disco, then something for adults, but the same music every evening.. We were promised free parking underground, but it was not provide, we found ourselves a free corner to park our car.. So, for an all inclusive 4* hotel and for that price which we paid, was not satisfying..Sorry, but I do not recommend it, especially not for those who have already experienced a good quality all...
