We have just returned from a week at this hotel, if part of your holiday is the thought of being pampered and having a nice meal three times a day give this hotel a very wide berth. On arrival we were met by a unwelcoming female at the reception. we were handed us a small scrap of paper with the restaurant times on and after giving us the room key we were left to our own devices to find our own way to our room. I must say to be fair that the rooms are very nice , they are clean and spacious in an apartment style with kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Having dropped off our cases we then decided to explore the hotel grounds. The swimming pool was very nice always clean, which is more than can be said for the restaurant. None of the staff wear any kind of uniform so they can be identified. They walk about never smiling , never speaking to you and generally look extremely scruffy. We have been all over Europe on our travels with our friends always choosing to go All Inclusive. Although we had booked All Inclusive at this hotel we were extremely surprised to find that it most certainly is not All inclusive. If you want a drink from the pool bar you have to pay, They do not even provide you with bottled water, in fact they have a sign above the water dispenser in the restaurant that threatens you with a 5 Lev fine if you try and fill an empty bottle.|| The food in the restaurant was to put it politely awful, it was never hot, not even when you got there at opening time , anything with a sauce had developed a skin on top where it had been sitting around for so long not being kept hot or covered.||We witnessed the food being placed out at 5;30pm ready for a 6pm service there were no lids on the food which then sat there for half an hour getting cold. The restaurant itself was always untidy with numerous dirty cups and glasses stacked up on the bar area. Breakfast was probably the only half decent meal and that was only if you got lucky and managed to get the scrambled egg while it was still warm.I could go on for ages about the food but I think you get the idea it wasn't great. ||The pool area is very nice, it was quiet and relaxing for the first couple of days but then having heard the same music being played on a loop from the pool bar for days on end it did start to grate and we longed for a power cut or a malfunction of the equipment just to be free from the same tunes over and over again, there is only so much gangster style rap you can take, and as for the emnem track the language is inappropriate for a family area.||If you do go to this hotel DO NOT go all inclusive. You can take a 20 min walk into the town and eat some nice food, very cheap.||I will close my review now with a message to the manager of this establishment. If you wish to attract more people you need to smarten up your staff, put them in uniforms , teach them what its like to work in the hospitality industry, and you need to lead by example, we never saw you once during our stay so wouldn't know what looked like, Usually within a day or so you would know who the manager was because they normally walk about checking people who have paid good money for a holiday are being looked after by...
Read moreWe have just returned for a family week here, having been terrified by reviews!! It was an experience and such a shame this hotel has potential to be amazing. We were messed about by transfers which meant we arrived late not the hotels fault, when we turned up a man showed us to our rooms and said to sleep and check in the morning. The manager the following day was very helpful and sorted our complaint putting me in touch with the right people and translating on our behalf. The rooms were massive with plenty of room even two bathrooms, we had a 2 bed and a 1 bed for 6 of us. Both had pool view and as we found out at sunrise a beautiful sea view. By day the rooms left a bit much to be desired, linen was fresh and it was clean just needing a few repairs. The shower panels kept falling out creating a flood each time and one shower kept running cold when it chose, but it was suitable for sleeping in!! I do not feel this was all inclusive at all, I have never stayed anywhere all inclusive with time slots!! the restrictions were ridiculous and not being allowed tea, coffee or especially water after 22.00 would be illegal in the UK we bought water from shop for room to cover us it wasn't dear but it was principle. The food was hit and miss, some stuff was cooked as you waited and if you timed some things right it was hot, I just think it was common sense on what to and not too eat. I probably did not eat as much as I would of liked due to much of it being cold. The pool bar was paid and was not expensive you would not of got a Pina colada with those measures for £2 in the UK! The barman was friendly and polite with us. Some staff were stern faced but most smiled if you did to them and then when you saw them again acknowledged you politely. There was no entertainment at all so we spent evenings playing cards and heads up!! which attracted a lot of attention lol... The spa was also always shut and did not relate to the services offered in the brochure in the rooms?? Housekeeping cleaned our rooms regularly and provided us with fresh linen when required so no problems there. Pool was lovely size and clean its a shame it was freezing!! it was torture which was a shame! The beach across the road was soft and sandy and clear, it was lovely and warm so we spent more time there it wasn't a private beach so you had to pay for brollies but at £3 for a day it wasn't expensive.. The town was a walkable distance and adequate with shops touristy and tacky typical resort there were cafes and bars also, again reasonably priced. We did also spot a water park in the town and went back for another day there it was £11 for the whole day and was a fantastic day out. Plenty of choice, warm pools and good slides a good day out. Don't rely on the free transfer bus though that never showed up!! All in all the area was ok and the weather amazing I would however prefer all inclusive to be all inclusive so wouldn't return. Still had a nice chilled...
Read moreThis hotel is a disaster in every department from arrival till leaving. We wanted with my girlfriend to spend 4 days of vacation and enjoy the black sea, however, unfortunately ended up frustrated and disappointed from the whole experience residing at this hotel. The treatment of the personel especially the receptionist was very unfriendly, impolite and unprofessional. Our first disappointment was upon arrival at 1:30pm. Having already made our reservation 10 days before arriving, we expected to be able to get our room right away. However, the receptionist told us in an unfriendly way that we can only check in after 2pm according to hotel's regulations and said we should wait. We waited and asked the receptionist later at 2pm, but she said we should wait and didn't even suggest to inform us but told to ask her later. We waited and waited and saw how she were talking all the time on the phone and paying attention to us. 40 minutes later, feeling very tired and thirsty from our trip, we decided to interrupt her. She said then that our room is ready (we thought: unbelievable, why haven't you told us before so that we don't wait all this time?). She handed us the keys and said that's it without explaining anything about the hotel and its facilities. Second disappointment: No internet in the rooms as claimed online. We saw that there's a Wifi network available in our room named after the hotel and asked the receptionist about the password but she said 'this network doesn't work'. Logging into this network, it clearly works and requires a password which the receptionist for some reason didn't want to tell us. Third disappointment, the house keeping and hygiene was miserable. Sheets were never changed during our stay, the towels were dirty. The cleaning lady wiped our floor once but left it wet, full of sand and stinky. No one bothered to make our bed or clean the bathroom. Fourth disappointment, the bed is terrible. After one night we both woke up with strains and pain in the back. The pillows were extremely high and uncomfortable. We asked the receptionist for any other pillows, however she said that none are available in the hotel. We couldn't get any good sleep during our stay and felt very tired. Fifth disappointment, no sports or fitness or spa facilities at all despite being claimed online. On an evening, we saw 2 guys from the personel playing ping-pong in a room. Apparently, the personel is misusing the facilities. We also observed that the personel in the hotel and at the restaurant especially is so lazy and inefficient. The personel doesn't have any dress code and can't be distinguished from guests. Most of the time the personel will be standing or sitting doing nothing or smoking.
These are our major disappointments, however the lists can go longer and longer with reasons to pick up another...
