The beautiful architecture of the hotel dominates the skyline of Razgrad.||The decor looks pretty fancy with lots of sharp cut mirrors.||However, as I understood only the first six floors are in use.||You can really tell the hotel has known better days.||The place feels abandoned and I got the feeling the are saving money wherever they can.||||There are many nice spots in the hotel, like the terrace space at the back of the restaurant and the lobby, with a beautiful view over the city. ||But most of the furniture is stored in some patio beneath the terrace of the lobby.||The nice and quite lobby terrace is completely empty.||I would recommend to furnish it with some of those tables and chairs to bring it back to life.||||The buffet is very limited and basic.||No freshly baked breads or croissants, but just some traditional flaky pastries and 1 sliced loaf of bread that tastes like its from the supermarket. Luckily theres a toaster. ||Only the feta tastes very fresh.||Theres not even fresh water since you cant drink from the tap. Only some juice that tastes like this dissolvable vitamin c drink.||||Also, before you enter the restaurant you walk though a sort of abandoned party space thats decorated with a little bridge over some sort of indoor river. It looks absolutely horrible and is not a nice way to enter the restaurant.||The bar looks messy and the coffee machine is very old. ||The coffee tastes kinda dusty.||I would recommend a coffee machine with fresh filter coffee.||||The hotel room smells like toilet. It seems like there is something in the water.||The bed is uncomfortably hard. Its like sleeping on a table.||Food ordered through roomservice is delivered without anything to cover it.||Who knows what has happend to my food on the way to my room? Maybe some booger fell out of her nose.||The food was cold when it arrived. Very unprofessional.||The food was gag worthy, but not in a good way. ||The eggplant dish had a lot of cinnamon in the tomato sauce. It made me feel sick in the stomach after eating it.||Theres not even a watercooker and some tea bags which for me is essential and a small investment to make the guest stay pleasant. ||||In Razgrad are a lot of street cats and dogs that start fighting at night. This makes it a very loud environment to sleep in.||||Only plusses are the architecture of the building, except for its decay. ||The shower soap smells very nice. ||Very big plus is the fact that the windows can open and has a mosquito net that can open as well.||Theres also a very friendly guy a the reception that worked the nightshifts on Saturday and Sunday during my stay. ||He was very helpful and made me feel at home by opening some nice conversations.||This made me give the hotel 2 stars...
Read moreI don't know how to feel about this place, I went on a school trip with my class and stayed in this hotel for 2 days. The dinner was HORRIBLE. They gave us 2 pieces of bread, chicken and rice. We found something in my friend's rice( I don't even know what we found), the chicken was raw and the bread was rock hard. I felt like there was more bread than the actual chicken. The breakfast is not enough and I was hungry even after I ate(my plate was full), do NOT drink the water or the milk. I guess the location was okay. Here's the thing. I went in a 3* hotel and the food was better. The rooms were looking like a 2(I gave 2 stars bc of the safe in the closet
Read moreThe hotel is actually quite nice and also the prices are great. However, there were also some things to complain about, too much for a 5 star hotel. The sink faucets of the toilets in the lobby area, for example, were completely tarnished and not at all respectable, moreover, you could not look in the mirror because there are lamps hanging in the field of view. The floor in the restaurant area is only laminate and also completely rocked down. In general, they do not pay attention to perfection here and everywhere in the building, for example, crooked lamps stand out. The fitness area was completely run down. The breakfast was very modest and there was not even a juice. Only a very artificial tasting orange drink. The staff was always friendly and eager, but did not always speak English. The room was nicely furnished. However, the beds are quite short and not meant for people over 190cm. The headboard of the bed had probably come loose and was only screwed to the wall in a makeshift and crooked way with angles. At this point, the wallpaper was also damaged and the old hole was still visible. In another place, the wallpaper was making waves. A drawer on the bedside table was stuck and could not be opened. The feet of the TV were not screwed and the TV was very unstable. During the stay, the hairdryer also broke and could not be repaired promptly, a replacement hairdryer could not be provided either.
