I stayed in this hotel for 7 days for a ski holiday in January. Without being too harsh, if I had to rate the hotel out of 10 on an overall view I would rate it a 4/5. The shower in our apartment was leaking and there was water squirting everywhere. Our friends were staying in another apartment downstairs at the same time as us, and their shower was the same. During breakfast, the kitchen had no cups.... so we had to have our tea in tiny cardboard cups, there's wasn't much variety in food. The workers stated that they had wifi and gave us the logins and passwords. The wifi would work in the middle of the night at about 3 am or very early in the morning at about 7am. During the day the wifi wouldn't work. I had to use wifi in the ski rental centre.. I'm sure if a ski rental centre can get good wifi, surely a hotel could also if they had any will to improve. The walls were dirty which wasn't too pleasant to look at. Also their cleaners provide new towels and cleaned our rooms every 3rd day, which was fine. However we were not provided with clean towels until our second last day of staying there. I enquired about the towels at reception 5 times about the towels, at one point the worker said to me 'stop distracting me from doing me work' I thought this was disgraceful. The hotel had to order more towels as they didn't have enough. Also the edges of the windows in our rooms were leaving in the cold, which meant we always had to keep the radiators on, and it was up to us to control the warmth in our apartment. We did not have enough forks and plates in our kitchen. I'm guessing since the hotel know there was four of us staying in an apartment, there should be four of everything. Some of these points would have been acceptable if they weren't rated by star rating. For a 'four star' hotel as they state, these points should not be an issue. Some good points about the hotel was that the beds were very comfy, felt lovely to sleep in, the look of the hotel was nice on the outside and they kept the place nice and clean. The swimming pool was lovely. That's about it really. Just don't be fooled into thinking that this hotel is going to be fabulous because it's a four star, trust me it won't be, I...
Read moreJust got back from a 7 night stay. Family of 5 2 adults 3 children (17,15,7). We had a 4th floor 2 bedroom apartment. The views were beautiful and the location was lovely altho you would need car hire as a bit out of nowhere. |The apartment was ok bit basic. On arrival we had no kettle, cutlery or cooking equipment. I contacted reception who informed me that they dont leave it in the room it has to be requested (this was not advised on website or booking info) they promptly brought up all we needed tho. |Being on the 4th floor we had ceiling that sloped this proved to be challenging in the double bedroom and the bathroom. The double room had ceiling windows the blinds were all broken and one of the blinds had been screwed to the wrong part of the window meaning you couldn’t open it. The bed was a bit unstable headboard broke off (my partner had to screw it back on). Mattress quite hard and uncomfortable. No side lights so you have to switch the main light off before getting into bed which can be fun in the dark lol. The twin room was nice and spacious plenty of room but yet again mattresses quite hard and uncomfortable. |Bathroom had toilet bath and over bath shower. However the toilet didnt work (luckily there was a separate toilet) and you couldn’t stand up in the shower due to the slope on the roof. |Living area nice and spacious. Sofa bed easy to work altho really uncomfortable and hard to sleep on. |It advises WIFI but thats only in the reception lobby not in the rooms. |Outside pool was very cold (i dont think it was heated) and floor around the pool was very uneven with some broken slabs and loose cement. PE toy of sun beds altho there was a lot of broken ones. |Didn’t use the spa, gym or steam room. Indoor pool was nice and warm, a little small but ok for a handful of people. |Only used restaurant for breakfast which was continental with plenty of choice. |Staff seemed ok they didnt really talk or interact that much tbh.|It seems a nice hotel but we just felt that our room needs a bit of money spent on it to help improve it. I’m not sure if we...
Read moreI'll start off with the good things: the room was big and the kitchen was equipped well enough to be serviceble. Swimming pool was nice and warm. The bad: The rooms were cold, our group booked several rooms and they were all cold. The heating system is incapable of heating a room of that size. They also provide a small electric heater but ours was overheating faster that it could heat up the room. It also made a lot of noise so I avoided keeping it on during the night. Last day of stay the heating system gave up completely and while we did announce the reception about the issue they did nothing at all and we had so sleep with only the small electric heater turned on. The windows do not close well enough in some rooms and a draft is felt. Anyway, you feel cold air from the area of the windows. The breakfast is below average. All ingredients provided (such as cheese, salami, sausages) taste like the cheapest variants available. If you are in for a weekend you will suvive well enough with the breakfast but anything longer than a few days and you will get sick and tired of the same low quality breakfast menu. The lights on the hallways are annoying as hell as you have to turn them on using a light switch at one end of the hallway and then you need to get to the next light which in time or the timer will expire and turn off the light leaving you in the dark searching for the next switch. Considering they do have motion sensors on some lights I can't imagine why they have not upgraded their system as a whole. This was mostly a problem for me since we traveled with a small child who would take a long time to go up the stairs. The massage at the spa was...
