Four Seasons Villa — Hotel in Samokov

Well, what a week! Eleven of us are currently sat in the minibus on the way to the airport laughing about what a blast we have just had.||||Like many, we booked the Four Seasons chalet off the back of review sites and found it hard to believe that all the reviews were genuine, based on how good they all were. I can confirm that they are all absolutely true and that Nick, the chalet owner has created an incredible package for guests to enjoy from start to finish.||||Nick met us at the airport, due to the fact that we had arrange transfers with him prior to booking. This was effortless and kept it nice and simple after a long day travelling. Within 1.15 hours of getting off the plane, we were tucking into soup, cheese and breads around the dining table at the chalet, provided by him on arrival.||||The chalet is spacious with the majority of the eight rooms having en suite facilities. The lounge and dining area is big enough to accommodate a large group and the kitchen is open to use as and when you would like. ||||Nicks wife, came to the chalet each morning around 7am and prepared breakfast for us. You could opt for cooked breakfast, cereal, freshly made pancakes, fruit etc. More than enough choice to get you ready for the slopes!||||We chose to eat in as a group for three nights and Nick kindly took us to the supermarket on our request to get supplies. ||The other nights we dined out in both Samokov and Borovets. Samokov is cheaper than Borovets but to be honest, as a UK resident, you’ll be hard pushed to spend decent amounts of money there.||||Nick’s set up is great for beginners and experienced skiers alike. If you chose to, you can hire ski equipment directly from him and he’ll fit everything for you from the basement of the chalet. This makes it so easy when returning home from a long day skiing. Boots off, gear hung up and straight upstairs for a chilled beer, direct from the honestly bar……. Thats right, take anything you want from the fully stocked bar, write your name on a post-it note and square up with Nick at the end! Easy! If you decide against a beer and want something a little more relaxing, jump in the jacuzzi or sauna that Nick has conveniently organised to be put on prior to you returning for the day.||||Not only is Nick a great host, he’s also a very patient and skilled Ski Instructor. We opted for Nick to teach us all to ski for the duration our time there. Very reasonably priced and really knowledgeable about the resort. He took us daily to the slopes and back, organised a Ski-doo trip and gave us some great recommendations for restaurants for the evenings. ||||If you are looking for a stress free skiing trip, with a comfortable environment to come back to each evening which isn’t going to break the bank, then this place is for you! Nick even arranged for a masseuse to come to the chalet to loosen up our muscles - which was only £25 for a full body for 45 mins.||||Nick, from the eleven of us, thank you so so much for a wonderful week, full of laughter, good food and great beer, not to mention the skiing. We came here as a party of 6 adults and 6 kids. Its a great set up. Picked up from the airport, we arrived at the chalet and were greeted by the owner Nick. Bags in, we were shown to the beautiful living area where after an early flight with 6 kids we had a much needed welcome beer.||The chalet is lovely, built by nick himself. Loads of bedrooms with en suite. A nice little spa area downstairs with hot tub big enough for 2 adults or 6 kids, and a sauna.|The living area is spacious with English TV and a dvd player. A well stocked fridge supplied decent local beer, juice for the kids and tonic, and the bar had loads of spirits to choose from. Just note it down as you go and pay at the end!||Nick and his family welcomed us every morning with a cooked breakfast, cereal and pancakes. Decent Coffee, tea and juice were all provided, a great way to start the day.||For Nick, nothing seemed too much trouble. He took us skiing, taught us how to ski, went home wile we had after ski drinks and sledging, then came back to pick us up. He'd then run us to a restaurant which he would book for us, and come back and pick us up. He really did go above an beyond. ||His skiing lessons were great. He was great with the adults and the kids (taking 4 at a time). Very patient and making it fun for the kids. We also used his friend John for lessons as there were so many of us who was also great, and who's wife looked after the youngest kids when we skied and when the others wanted days off. ||This really is a gem of a place, so good we booked for next year while we were there. ||Cheers nick and family. I’m really torn between leaving this review that Nick and his family deserve and keeping this little gem of a place to myself!!||||We booked this chalet for a group holiday taking eight children aged between 5 and 13 for their first skiing holiday. From the second we were met at the airport by Nick right up until leaving we couldn’t have asked for more. We were taken to the chalet where Mariana had prepared us a bite to eat ahead of unpacking and settling in for the week. Nick then helped us with getting skis & boots ready for the next morning and money exchanged.||||Each day we had a fab breakfast prepared for us, including the many pancakes the kids got through in a week, before transporting us to the slopes. Nick then became ski instructor for the kids taking on the task of teaching all eight kids to ski for the first time!! The kids loved him and we were amazed by how much they progressed in a week.||||We really could not have picked a better experience for the kids’ first skiing holiday and this was entirely down to Nick and his family for whom nothing was too much trouble. From taking us to and from the slopes, teaching the kids to ski, ordering takeaways, making restaurant reservations, transporting us to the restaurants on an evening and restocking the honesty bar every day they took care of every detail.||||We loved it so much we booked our next holiday before leaving and cannot wait to go back.
