We spent five days at hotel Niken Pamporovo with family and friends for a lovely white Christmas and skiing holiday. What a place! Great atmosphere, nice staff, warm rooms (too warm), restaurant and spa centre, great traditional and contemporary predominantly Bulgarian tasty cuisine, great variety of drinks and coffees. We had nice time, enjoyed every bit of it there. Christmas Day and evening entertainment was good too. The spa centre consists of a good size pool, sauna, cold room (The Cave), steam room, jacuzzi, gym and massage room. The restaurant is quite nice with a choice of different dishes to cater for every taste. We were on a half-board basis and that was probably one of the best bits of it as it takes away the hassle of finding a place to eat and managing bookings etc. We booked one bedroom apartment which was way too warm for us and had to turn the radiators down to minimum as it seems there is floor heating too. In the apartment you get a mini kitchenette with a cooker and a sink if you prefer self-catering option. We didn't. There is a lift that runs from -1 level (spa centre) to +3 level. If you stay on level 4 then it is stairs only from level 3. Free good size parking at the front entrance and an overspill to the rear of the hotel. There is of course a ski equipment room downstairs with heated lockers for ski boots where you can keep your own or rented gear for the duration of your stay (free of charge). The hotel is literally 100-200m away from Ski Centre 2 Malina and the 6-seats lift to Snezjanka Peak & Tower. We renter our ski equipment from Slavi Ski (which gives 20% discount for hotel Niken guests) and was a bonus for us. There are a few ski pass places around and you can buy them valid for a day or multiple days. There is a discount for a 3-days plus. Children under 6 go free on all of the lifts. Youth/teenager's ski pass is slightly cheaper than an adult's. So, in a sentence - You get a lot for your money and it is what a hotel in the mountains in the middle of a snowy winter should be! Highly recommend a stay at this place as it is family run and supports local community. Hopefully we can go back there again in the coming...

Read moreПрекрасно място!
