We were traveling 2 families with kids for five nights - overall 4 adults and 4 kids ages of 5 months, 5-6 years and the elder is 12 years of age. I have to start with the location, it's great. We are familiar with the area pretty much knew where we are going, this is a nice area surrounded with mountains, with a lot of water (springs, rivers etc), a lot of well maintained hiking trails and so on - the hotel itself located in a wonderful place between mountains/hills on a river - fantastic.||BUT, this is pretty much it if you choose this place for some kind of a family resort. We paid for 2 suits/apartments which is the biggest unit and a bit more expensive than the regular twin or 2 people room, anyway this is not about the price:||- One of the strangest things I ever saw in such place, no room service! Apparently (and you don't know about this before the reservation), the room is not being cleaned (and I mean at all), towels are not being changed, bed linen not being changed, carpets not being vacuumed, nothing - only once in 2-3 nights of stay, eventually we been there 4 nights and nothing happen and we actually demanded it several times. Lets say it's ok regarding bed linen and vacuum-cleaning, but towels? I actually had to argue to get clean towels because I wanted to shower the baby and my 5 years old son more than once a day. At some point we were out of shampoo, we were really laughing on all of this, so I made a test to see how many days the empty bottle will lie there open on the tub before someone will change it (I especially screwed it out if the device on the wall to make it more visible) - on the third day I brought it to the reception and asked for a new one.||- Included breakfast, this is one of the cheapest things I saw (I'm traveling a lot as part of my work, I saw huge amount of 3 stars hotel), 5 days same breakfast, with no change in a single ingredient, extremely cheap products and a very small choice.||- The pools are fine, natural spring warm water which is unusual, but I'm not sure I understand the reviews here. This is yet another standard small sized swimming pool, not more, not less, nothing special at all, pretty old, not the pool nor the chairs around it maintained that well.||- Rooms, not much to say about the room, the suit/apartment is big, furniture pretty old, the whole thing and mostly the bathroom is dirty. Since we had two of them the statistics is pretty bad, both were pretty much in the same condition, apparently most of the bathrooms in the hotel have no bathtub, nor a glass, nothing, just the same area for the toilet and the shower with not even a curtain or some border (one of our apartments had bathtub, the other had nothing). There was a small empty refrigerator and we brought our own electric kettle which was the great idea to have boiled water to prepare babies milk substitution, with lack of room service and no elevator (see below) it would be amusing going up and down 20 time a day for a cup of boiled water :)||- No elevator, not that bad but something to think about when you come with kids especially babies, 4th floor, no elevator. You leave the stroller downstairs, not a big deal but on the fifth day it becomes annoying, if you are a smoker, no balcony and so on and so on.||- Kids has nothing to do there at all, very tiny playground, very small children pools (very small), playroom is nothing more than a nice picture on their website. We were more oriented on hiking and trailing so we didn't actually care, but families that want to have some "rest" from kids will probably suffer there.||- General facilities, nothing special, SPA and Sauna, fair enough, not good, not bad, something small, but ok, not more than that.||- No one actually speaks English or any other language (I speak Russian, German, French, Hebrew, English, nothing worked), they say they do but they don't - We live in Bulgaria for about a year so we managed it in Bulgarian somehow.||- WiFi, it's there but you can't "feel" it :) the only and the best spot are outside near the pool, very poor if at all in the room or other public areas, so don't count on it. I would say no.||||There is more, but I want just to leave a general feeling feedback, except of the service which was awful really, I never had to fight for towels (two days in a row). I truly don't understand the reviews here nor on Booking, this is pretty much an average 2-3 stars hotel, pretty old, not well maintained, without service and so on. I don't see any good reason for a family to plan a staying there, couples, singles maybe, although I really don't understand why, pay a bit more and get something more descent, or pay less and get pretty...
Read moreUnfortunately we are only happy with dinner service at the restaurant and the outside pool, but that's all and it can't cover all the negative things we had to cool with. Upon our arrival the receptionist was quite arrogant and didn't tell us that there are no robes for the spa available in the room, rather than that we have we have to take and pay them at the reception which later came out in the bill as if we are not guests at the hotel. The room was no better either. There were spider nets in the corner of the ceiling and a bug on the wall. We didn't get housekeeping service on the second day of our stay, therefore the trash stayed until we left and we ran out out of shower gel on the second day. The place where we were supposed to hang our robes to dry was broken. Not enough breakfast food supplied on the first day. Like half an hour prior the breakfast was over most of the food was gone. A woman complained about this and one of the waitresses told her everything will be filled in 5 mins, which didn't happen. So I and I guess other people were left hungry as well. Finally our bill was overcharged we had payed for drinks we didn't order at the summer bar. There is a sign on one of the bills which is not mine. Definitely not...
