The hotel as a base and location is not bad, on the contrary, the base, although already outdated, is well maintained, clean, warm and spacious rooms. The place is pleasantly secluded, although close to the main road.|The big problem is the attitude towards the guests of the hotel. The manager/owner/ has imposed some absurd and very irritating rules, such as the complete ban on using the refrigerator/mini-bar/ to put any products in it, including water. We didn't intend to use it for any food of course, but still it is a strange rule. To this we add the complete ban on bringing any products, both food and drinks into the room, including those purchased from their own restaurant or bar. The result is stress and tension for all guests, constant quarrels and scandals at the reception and on the floors, because you can't drink a coffee in your room/there is no kettle or other hot drinks in the room/. I don't want to think about how one small bottle of water in the mini-bar would satisfy the thirst of even two people in the room in the summer, and for families with a small baby or toddler on special food, I can't imagine how they would cope.| I would like to add the absolutely rude attitude of the manager towards my elderly parents. They were scolded "for not showing respect to the other hotel guests" because they wore slippers at dinner and were made to put on shoes. I will spare the details, but I still specify that this is a family hotel, a type of SPA relaxing house, 3 stars, and not an superial 5 star hotel with a dress code in the restaurant. And elderly people, almost 80 years old, paid a lot of money to relax.|Finally, I will add my observations about the restaurant: the staff was very kind and attentive, but the food at both breakfast and dinner was very limited in terms of variety. In fact, the salads were the most diverse. There was fruit only at breakfast, for dinner the desserts were limited to 1-2 pastries and creams. For us they were enough, but for more demanding customers they would be insufficient. Main courses 1-2, plus vegetables, rice, potatoes. You will not stay hungry, but do not count on...
Read moreYou get more than what you expect!!!!! Yes, just like that I got 2 bottles of wine as a compliment for only 2 night stay. One was part of my prepaid voucher, the other was present for the St.Valentines day (I did not knew about it). And you could consume them in the restaurant or in your room, does not matter. You think "well I should book my free hydro-massage bath" and 5 minutes later I receive a call from reception - they have booked me an appointment already! ||1. All the reception and restaurant staff were great and kind and sweet. They make you feel special.||2. SPA was working perfectly.||3. Food was delicious - homemade tea herbs, homemade cheesecake and a lot of traditional Bulgarian food. ||4. On St. Valentines, we had a DJ playing love songs - NO CHALGA, I loved it!!!!!||5. Parking was alright, there was always a place to park. ||6. Who cares if you have to pay for WiFi since nowadays we all have excellent mobile internet.||||You need to understand several things though.||||1. Do not expect for a lift to magically build itself, because you have 10 bags you do not want to carry going up the stairs. ||2. Hotel has its policy, you could never demand changing it. If they ask you for deposit/payment upon arrival, you do it. If you do not like it, go to the many more ridiculously overprices hotels that can offer you only infection after using their SPA. or sleeping in their sheets. |||| For 25-30 euros per person, per night - you get nice room, romantic view, great spa (not a large area but it has all you need), great TRADITIONAL BULGARIAN meals (HB) , great staff. ||||OVERALL, it is an excellent place, suitable for romantic weekends, even I see a great potential for corporate...
Read moreI am sorry, but this place is redicoulius and well back in time. Service is bad. Food is discusting, not cooked well and not close to what would one expect from a buffet dinner for 320bgn per night.... Look at the cake that is in the buffet and pay close attention to the garnish. I am sure most people would not like flies on their cake... Value for money is 0! For the same price, you can be in a 5* hotel with the same half board and with not even close to compare service and quality.
Rooms are old and not serviced well.
Sofa for the third person in the room is not conformable, to say the least.
There's a crazy and really annoying policy about the mini fridge in the room: you can not put your water or whatever in the fridge. If you do so, you will be charged. even if you put the DoNotDisturb or NoCleaningNeeded sign on the door, the staff will get in to check the mini fridge... if something is there or something has been taken from it - you will be charged. In addition, if tou are withe a kid you will certainly get a remark about kids playing in the pools and being... sorry... KIDS.
These guys really need to check how a modern hotel operates, and most importantly, what people are getting for their money in other places.
The pool area is fine, which is the only positive thing i can say about this place.
I would never go back to this place and would never recommend it to anyone.
Please be aware of this place, and if you value the Value for money - choose a different...
