Hotel "Riva" — Hotel in Varna

I stayed with my wife and my boy (9 years old) for 1 week. Overall it is a 3 stars hotel but I had some bad experiences. ||First, when I arrived at reception (I had a voucher from travel agency) they verified the money is in their account. After 20 minutes they said is ok. The next step I asked about my car to park. They said is 6 euro/ night. I said I will not pay, they said this is my problem. I found a free place to park my car but far away from hotel…||The room was big and pretty clean. ||At 3 pm, we go to restaurant to eat and drink something (we paid all inclusive).||Surprise! They said (in some English Bulgarian language, I am not sure if they don’t know English language or they don’t want to speak it) the bar is opened at 4 pm … But finally we succeed to take a coffee and a juice. ||At 4 pm the door of restaurant was opened. The only food was some horn-shaped rolls. Anyway I asked for a beer and the give me. ||I realized the customers of this hotel are Russians family and some Romanians (like us). ||I asked for the some more food. They said the food is serviced at 7 pm … ||The swim poll is very large and enough clean. ||At 7 pm we are going again to restaurant.||Surprise again! A mass of people and children stayed in front of the closed door. After they opened the door the people were hurried to take the food. We didn’t find a free table stayed, so after 20 minutes when we succeed to get some food, we stayed at swimming pool area to eat. Next day I learned the lesson and put my son at 6:45 pm to stay in front of the door to catch a free table for the food.||We said this is … and try to relax. But in the next morning when we are going to reception another bad surprise! The receptionist displayed us our … hotel towels in a plastic bag. He said ‘Your towels are dirty. You must pay because we cannot wash them!’ My wife had a shock, and started argue with him. After a while he said will talk with manager … to find a solution. After that day we don’t use anymore their hotel towels.||In some day a woman was sick and vomited in a reception toilet. The same receptionist blustered her ‘Clean up!’||A pair of two family arrived in a morning. They paid 2 apartments and asked to be closely. A woman receptionist said ‘No’. They asked ‘Why? We paid an expansive rate! You are making benefits from us.’ She said ‘We don’t need benefits!’ It was unbelievable!||The food is good, but the only fruits are melons. The juices are not from fruits, only from a batcher.||In one night they closed the bar at 9 pm, even the program was until 10, because they have some … singer guests. ||A tourist said that he saw in the kitchen the personnel not throw the remaining food from plates and put it again in trays. I am sure about this.||Another tourist said they blamed him because the wash bowl is bottomed.||It was an unpleasant stay at this hotel. ||I can say this is like old communist hotel from a vanished period.||Even they have a very good position, a big swimming pool, and a nice park for the kids I will not recommend this hotel, unless you ignore the personnel.||My opinion is the managers don’t want to make you feel pleasant at their hotel and they are based on the tourists come from eastern countries who are not very...

Hotel Riva Park is very good for families, older people or anyone who dosen't want an all night party hotel. The hotel is close to everything. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are kept very clean. The rooms are quite spacious and there are different types so you can get very spacious family rooms. ( there are quite a few different types of room but all we saw were fairly spacious)The rooms have small fridges but our rooms didn't have kettles but some of the self-catering have small kitchens. This is not a high rise hotel so you are don't have too much climbing to do up stairs. The verandas overlook the pool and it is very pretty. The apartments look over the pool which is very big and if you're into swimming you can do full lengths. There is also a young children's swimming pool. The pool is surrounded by flowers and greenery and there are a few swings and slides for the children to play on.I would also recommend the massages you can get at the hotel as it is very good and very cheap, is a full massage and lasts about 50 mins. You can just get a back massage if you want.|The food isn't bad, breakfast caters for all nationalities and is a help yourself buffet. You can get fried and boiled eggs, toast, butter, jam, honey, croissants, melon, plums, fruit juices, tea, coffee, cheese, ham etc. It also caters for other nationalities with pasta, frankfurters etc. the lunch menu is very good and the portions we got were very big and filling.|The hotel has safety deposit boxes, the internet for a small charge, a pool table, a bar and a restaurant which overlooks the pool with a bar beside it. It was just terrible, dirty, bad food, service without experience rooms where very smelly (hummed not ventilated), no proper maintenance and in 9 days they cleaned only once, i let a bug on the floor and it stayed during the 9 days in an obvious place ,the food very bad quality, it was all inclusive??? ja, ja, ja you could smell the old oil when they prepared the meals, it was just awful. Noise place, music starts at 7:30 to 22:00 the same recorded music, is a torture||Our toilet was more than 3 days broken and no one repair it , the cleaners did not take care about it i had to improve.||The first night they made a mistake because they sold our room ( we arrive at 22:00 and they thought we are not coming anymore) they send us in a place for bus drivers, you can not imagine what a night . It was the hell.
