SPA Club Bor — Hotel in Velingrad

This hotel is nowhere near 4 stars. Maybe it used to be years ago, but now very outdated, worn-out and neglected. Outside pool area - if you saw the picture and you expect to have umbrellas around the lounge chairs, don't. There are only 3 umbrellas for the whole area. There are chairs that have shade from the trees but it's only on the morning hours. More than half of the chairs don't have shade and you have to get there very early on the morning to get chair under the shade. The sun in the mountains is very strong, so definitely not good. If you saw chairs around the outside pool - they are not there anymore. They told me that they burned from the sun last year. But because I complained about not having enough umbrellas and chairs around the pool, they brought a table from the inside and put it outside for me. The manager told me, that they will bring out an umbrella, but that never happened. Outside pool water - very cold. There is a fence and no chairs next to the pool as pictured. Inside pool - water was warm but horrible smell around the pool. Windows were very dirty, cant see through them. Pool is 160m everywhere. No shallow area, no steps in the pool. You either have to be very good swimmer, or you have to be taller than 165 to be comfortable in the pool. Definitely not for kids. The kids pool was actually a baby pool. Rooms - another disappointment. Bed was extremely uncomfortable, worn out springs and sinking in the middle. I complained about it and they brought a mattress topper which didn't really fix the problem. Furniture were old, bathtub had a crack. A huge mosquito killed and still stuck on the wall above the bed. Restaurant - we had dinner included, buffet style. Food was cold and very low quality. Restaurant was super hot. AC was working only on one part of the restaurant. Kids playground - hidden somewhere in the grass and bushes. We came at the end of June, but they were still not prepared for the season. Overall, very disappointing and would not recommend...

The employees there dont speak English, they cant use the computer, they need hours to carry out the check in procedures. Lifts out of use for days, no precaution.Elderly and old people have to climb six floors. The spa condition less than mediocre. Hygiene conditions undedectable.No health certificate was asked Quisine, all fried, only one type of bread .Bad materials, bad cooks. Some ham were good and eggs.A sort of a pie.Honey was served so poorly, although such a rich in cone trees location. The room was acceptable, clean. The bathtub is plastic, be careful . The worst of all is the inefficiency of staff, the '"dont bother me"concept.Reluctant to understand, since the only language they know is their mother tongue. I had the idea in me while there that I was helpless and unprotected in any case of problem. A spa place , unaccesible to people with moving difficulties.The elevators, even when in use, you have to use stairs to get there. I wont go there again ofcourse and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone . I feel really sorry, but I value the importance of comments, so that other people...

Lication: The hotel is situated almost in the center of the city but actually it is on a hill and surrounded by a pine forrest so you get the sensation of beeing surrounded by nature. It easy to get there with car, also there is flight of stairs from the hotel which leads you directly in the center of the city. Staff: Probably the friendliest staff I have ever met. Everybody was very polite and kind. Food: Also one of the main pros of this hotel. The food was very tasty and good although the menu is not very rich. SPA center: The main con of the hotel. Definitely not the best I have been in, even I think it is below the average level. It has sauna and steam bath, indoor and outdoor pools and an indoor jaccuzi. The sauna and the steam bath are amortized. One of the walls in the hall had fungus which was covered with decorative elements. The indoor pool was under construction. Actually the whole SPA center needs a cosmetic renuvation. I have not tested the medical procedures they offer. In conclusion it is a nice hotel and I will...
