O'hamok family homestay & tours — Hotel in Battambang

The only home stay that we did while touring Cambodia. Sam and Analyse were very accommodating and awesome hosts. Our room was very spacious and contained enough storage to stow our gear, there were two bathrooms with good hot showers with ample water pressure. The family style breakfast each morning of bread, homemade jams, local fruits, tea, coffee and juice was shared by all guests as well as Sam, Analyse and the pups, this was a wonderful opportunity to share tips, information, cultures and laughs – a wonderful way to start the day! Both our host were very giving of their time and knowledge of the area. We went on the countryside tour with Sam and enjoyed his enthusiasm for Cambodia, the day took us into the local culture and industry and wound its way out into remote bush where we explored caves hunting for spiders…big spiders. Our second day we explored further afield, Sam lending us one of his bikes and his local knowledge on what to do and short cuts. Helmets are provided along with pushbikes. Upon returning home from a day’s adventuring Analyse is very eager to find out how your day went and to talk about the lifestyle in Cambodia. If you stay here ask Sam and Analyse how to get to the small ‘restaurant’ around the corner. Not visited by tourists, they were exceptionally obliging and excited to have tourists eat there and the food is excellent and cheap! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the company of Sam and Analyse and can’t recommend...

We travelled in a group of four and experienced great hospitality from Sarom and Anelyse. Besides tidy rooms I would like to highlight the tours they offer. We took the day tour by tuk-tuk around Battambang and its an experience I will hardly forget. During the tour Sarom showed us the most important aspects of life, culture or history of Cambodia. Great way how to peak inside the life in Cambodia. I promised him I would not give away any details from the tour but after 5 week of traveling across SE Asia I know can certainly say that it was among the top 3 things I have experienced. ||||If only there was more guesthouses like this...

Our three day stay at Any and Sarom's beautiful lodge was one of the highlights during our three week trip through Cambodia. We enjoyed the hospitality of this extraordinary couple, Any's super breakfast in the peaceful surrounding of their remote garden, the conversations and even survived the neighbours' wedding activities.
