The family who manages the business is very kind. The location is perfect. If you like to party - it’s the place to be. If you like to rest - read my « to be improved « part. The bed is confortable and the A/C is a plus.
BUT ….
I am sad to put a bad comment (rarely done)
In my opinion, the place is overpriced (50$/night) : No hot water shower Wall are like a sheet of paper (if your Neighbor is noisy - good luck, it happened to us : drunk back from party) There are any place you can store your clothes (no furniture and closets), The outside is full of bins / plastics (first view from our terrace was a sanitary pad - nice !) No toilets products such as shower gel is provided The morning some guys are working with pneumatic drills (30 meters from the rooms) WiFi is showing constantly some disruptions (fine but still - I m putting into perpective of the price we pay) No privacy - You need to live with curtains since your room is directly with view on the rest of the hostel. The others (young) customers made a party until late with loudly music - sorry guys, but I was clear it was a hostel not a club house. Especially when you have a beach club at 5min walk. In the bathroom there are some holes where mosquitos enter !! This, was mentioned in a previous feedback and seems as if no actions has been taken !!!
So basically if you are sleeping late (because the others make a party) , are waking up in the middle of the night (because of drunk Neighbors) and then the morning early by the workers - thrust me you do prefer to sleep on the beach. Just reminder : Holidays are to rest !
I can understand that some people wants to party but it should be with respect of others customers who come for a totally other reason.
And the morning you struggle to wake up because you need to recover all the shit of the previous night.
Plus, on top of that, when writing (a few days before) on booking in order to get some informations about how to reach to the hotel, I received a basic answer 1 hour before.
I think my judgement is fair since, as a benchmark, we have been to very nice hotels in Cambodia for a similar price (incl. swimming pool and breakfast).
Plus, owner totally admitted that the place was still under...
Read moreI cannot recommend Blue Zone Hostel enough! Dara, the owner, is an incredible human being who goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcomed, cared for, and truly part of the family. His wife and son are equally wonderful, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere that makes this place so special.||||One of the many highlights of staying at Blue Zone is its location. It’s less than a five-minute walk to Long Set Beach, which means you get the best of both worlds—easy access to the vibrant energy and beauty of the beach while being able to retreat to the peace and quiet of the hostel.||||Dara is also incredibly helpful when it comes to arranging anything you might need, from transport and boat trips to bikes and even things you didn’t know you’d need! He’s always happy to share his knowledge and make your time on the island as seamless as possible.||||Some of my favorite moments were the mornings spent with Dara, sipping tea and having deep conversations about life. These small, personal touches make Blue Zone feel so much more than just a hostel—it’s a place where you can form meaningful connections and feel part of a community.||||If you’re looking for a hostel where you can make real friends and feel at home, rather than just a place to party, Blue Zone is the perfect choice. The hostel is clean, the food they offer is delicious, and the property has so much potential as it continues to grow.||||I can’t wait to return in the future to see Blue Zone in its full glory. Dara, his family, and the entire experience make this a truly special place, and I’m already counting down the days until I can...
Read moreFeel blessed to have stayed here and met Dara and his family! Originally, we had booked somewhere else and changed to Blue Zone Hostel at the last minute. We were in B4, a spacious two-bed cabin with private bathroom. The air conditioning was powerful, the place was clean, and the shower was excellent. Being on an island in the jungle, you obviously encounter animal friends (we had a few lizards, a cockroach and a couple of mosquitoes, but we expected more so it was fine!). The site itself is under construction, but this was never a problem. The location is perfect as you are just behind the Nest, so it is easily accessible for partying, but you can escape back to the peace of Blue Zone! Koh Touch village is a 20/30-min walk and Longset Pier is 20 mins along the beach. The best thing about it, though, was Dara and his hospitality. I have never had such amazing service. He was welcoming, accommodating, and couldn't do enough for us (same for his lovely wife). Thank you, Dara, we will never forget our...
