Lazy Panda Hostel — Hotel in Koh Rong

SCAM! We arrived at this hostel to check in and there was not a single person at the site. We attempted to contact the staff or owner and had no luck at all. We had to go to other hostels to try get them to contact the staff here and they told us the staff were on their way. We waited over 3.5 hours and nobody arrived to check us in. To make things worse we had to pay $30 to cancel the room we had booked due to no one showing up to check us in. We had to get another room in a nearby hostel which was a massive inconvenience as otherwise we’d have been left in the dark with no where to stay. Would not recommend using this...

Laid-back hostel with a super friendly host, Pablo. Pablo is very knowledgable about the island and will kindly help you with what you need/where you want to go.

The hostel opened only a month before I came in late January 2025. It is nestled into the jungle, giving it a cozy vibe. Pablo is working on upgrading hostel facilities further.

The AC is great, comfy beds which are a bit wider than most hostel beds. Good privacy thanks to curtains for each bed.

The WiFi can get a bit chunky at times.

The nearest beach is a 5 minute walk away.

Stayed there one night and it was great. The location is a 5 minutes walk from the beach. Quiet at night and have a chilling place.

Mattress is very comfortable and have nice space to sleep, plus lamp and curtains. Have an air conditioner at night.

Have good showers and toilets and few of each of those. Enough for not having lines to the toilet :)
