Yeak Loam Hotel & Spa — Hotel in Ratanakiri

Below was my old review but I thought I should write an update since there has been some changes in the Sky bar. I went there last night for a drink as there was no other places in town since they were all closed. Immidiatly I noticed the change with the service with a new operation manager who was excellent and making sure all xmcustomers are served right. The menu has changed and I tried the salad last, with was excellent and well presented. I will be giving 4 stars for the new manager and will update my review if things will really improve in the sky bar.

Old review: The worst place to be I am visiting the hotel Sky bar with family and friends. I never encountered a bad service before, ordered a stake and many other stuff, the stake never came up even though we asked 3 times for it and waited an hour. I asked for the manager and never show up to bring a stake after it was too late. None of us ate our food waiting for our friend to get the stake so all the food turned cold and the manager did not show up and did not want to talk to me. I already had previous bad experience in this place but I always thought about giving them another chance. NEVER AGAIN!!! They have too many staff and not many customer and still couldn't get a simple...

Very beautiful hotel! The food was good and the skybar had a pretty view (good for watching the sunset) and a good viarity of drinks. Some of the staff have problems speaking english but they all are very nice and are trying very hard to make your visit the nicest possible. We stayed at the hotel for one night and then left for the jungle, we came back the day after and asked if it was possible to shower at the hotel and they offered us a free shower. Will definitely come back if we ever get a chance to visit...

I stayed here on two separate occasions and was surprised by the level of comfort of the room, the swimming pool and outside area and the enjoyable Sky Bar from where you get a fantastic view of the town. Food and drinks are well priced except for breakfast which was expensive for what we got. Room rate was $25 for a large room with view over the pool. We were well looked after by the staff who were friendly and very helpful.||They make a very good coffee which is a little pricey by Cambodian standards...
