Marvel Holiday Boutique Villa — Hotel in Siem Reap

Marvel Holiday Villa is exactly as described on their website.||I booked through Agoda.com and was able to obtain the room at a very good rate.||The hotel is very clean and well maintained, room, pool, breakfast area.||Coming from a very small room at HCM, Vietnam, the room and hotel felt huge.||Breakfast was standard buffet; with fresh omlettes and a multitude of not dishes, Asian and International.||I do have a couple of quibbles. On my second day of 3, I came back to the room to find the 'old used' towels, with no new towels on the shelf. I went to front desk to ask for new towels, and they provided them promptly. Also the dining room was closed one evening (lack of cook), so I had no choice but to go back out to have supper in town. After a long 2 days of temple touring, I did not plan on driving into town to have a meal. As a 4 star hotel, they may wish to offer more food service to their clients.||I did use the pool, which was lovely. And the staff were pleasant and helpful. They were able to call my various tour companies, drivers, to verify their services.||It is a new hotel and I am sure that they will work out all the small details along the way. Far enough from the city centre to avoid the night crowd but a short tuktuk ride for anything you might need in town.||Took the AirAsia Go package to book this hotel. The room is basic but for a family of 4, we are always happy to have a good size accommodation without having to shell out money for two rooms.||We were welcomed in our room with a lovely fruit basket of mangoes and bananas from the hotel’s garden. And nice decorative welcome decor on our beds with my name completely spelled out (!!!)||Breakfast choice is limited but sufficient.|Swimming pool is a nice addition - again - especially for our kids.||Bemused, the serving staff would just pluck the mangoes from the trees near the pool every time we order fresh mango juice.||Hôtel staff is very attentive and will ensure you get all the assistance you need.||A dead cockroach was in our room - probably a victim of the spray used before our arrival.... would have been nice not see...

Stayed at this hotel recently with a group of friends for three night. Staff were so lovely here and couldn't do enough to help. We had four different rooms and they were all large and spacious with a balcony. Pool area was surprisingly big and pool was great to relax in after a hot day exploring. Hotel is a little out of way and nothing close by in way of places to eat but you do get a free tuk tuk ride into town. Hotel also arranged two tuk tuk drivers for us who we then used for three days to explore temples and who were great. ||Only area in which I would say there is room for improvement is with the food. Breakfast wasn't particularly inspiring and we did eat lunch one day but lots of things weren't available. ||I would definitely stay here again if returning...
