Hotel Pekassa De Karche — Hotel in Foumban

BED BUGS on the bed I was sleeping, rashes all over my body because of that and a stress to bring back my clothes home in case they have been infected

NO running water in my room, you have to request the staff to bring you water buckets and once I had to go pick up the buckets downstairs by myself.

The night I arrived the electric plugs in my room were not working, so I had difficulties charging my phone/power bank. (they fixed the issue the next day)

The rooms are extremely dated and don’t look well kept or cleaned.

Positive point is, it is close to the main spots of Foumban and is quite secure. They have a bar downstairs as well. The staff is moderately helpful, the receptionist was quite polite and smiley.

Overall won’t recommend to stay there, it’s true I was in the standard room of 15.000 FCFA per night but for a hotel said to be the main one in Foumban, I was extremely...

Well, first the woman at the desk had an attitude when I try to check in. She said no room were available for under CFA 20,000, but I insisted and she said she had one for CFA 15,000 which was the price for a standard room. Well the room was very small, so was the bathroom. No hot water as the hot water was out of order. The bathroom had a very bad smell, like sewer. No fan or air.con either. Did not stay in hotel but had breakfast there, the breakfast was very well prepared and the coffee was very rich and delicious! The service was very nice and the upstairs dining area was Lovely. The restroom was very poorly constructed and very filthy. Desk attendant was watching TV and conversing with what looked like her friends.
