Coliseum Mountain Resort — Hotel in Alberta

Just returned from an amazing week at the Coliseum Mountain Resort. Kurt and Carla were amazing hosts. The house was big, beautiful, and comfortable for our group of 12. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies, staples, and spices. There was an extra refrigerator in the basement along with a large washer and dryer. There is also a hot tub and a fire pit stocked with firewood. The house was supplied with plenty of towels. Beds were all full size and comfortable, with plenty of blankets. Each room had a laundry basket, which was handy. The bathrooms included hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and bath soap, as well as plenty of towels and washcloths. The area was beautiful and quiet. A small store is on site with snacks and other necessities available. Nordegg was really cute. We saw several wild horses. Also the pie at the Miner Cafe and the ice cream at the Nordegg Canteen were amazing. Would not hesitate to recommend the Coliseum...

We recently enjoyed a week at this resort with another couple, and were amazed at how nice it was. We stayed in the lodge, which is a beautiful 3-story log cabin with kitchen equipped with everything, dining and living areas, and several bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate a large group. We also loved the hot tub, fire pit, and multiple outdoor dining spaces. The hosts are very personable, accommodating, and helped arrange excursions with Canada Outdoor Adventures, which were beyond amazing! We went hiking, fishing, kayaking, and toured Jasper and Banff National Parks. The mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, and wildlife were unbelievably beautiful! We also played 9 holes of golf, sampled the homemade pies at The Miner’s Cafe, and had food and beverages while listening to music outdoors at the Canteen, all in the small town of Nordegg. So many things to say about this fabulous resort! We stayed in the lodge, which is perfect for a group getaway. While it is great for hunters, it is equally fantastic for families, or groups of several couples or friends. There are also smaller cabins available at the resort. The location of Nordegg is a great home base for any adventure you want to go on. There are plenty of nearby places to enjoy for kayaking or canoeing , hiking, and looking for wildlife (which we saw much of)! We also took day trips to Jasper and Banff. The accommodations were both beautiful and comfortable and the hosts were amazing. Another added bonus is that you can also book excursions (big or small) through Canada Outdoor Adventures, which is also on-site. Will definitely return to...
