Chalet 143 Kanata — Hotel in Amherst

Perfect getaway for families and friends. We stayed at La Casa Kanata July 2022 with some friends and their families (Total: 6 adults, 5 children). There was plenty of space, comfortable beds and something to do for everyone!

The firepit, hot tub and sauna was a perfect way to end off our long day at the lake (Lake Mine), venturing through the caves and outdoor bouldering (Parc des Hauters). Note: There is no beach at Lac Mine for tenants, but there is a dock. It wasn't busy so we were able to stay and hang out on the dock for awhile.

One of the days there was rain, so having cable tv, wifi and a pool table was helpful with entertaining our kids. Just a suggestion, maybe provide some board games or a deck of cards for future tenants.

The place was very clean, with exception to one room (likely left from the previous tenant and missed by the cleaning staff). The owner was always quick to answer any questions and extremely receptive via email.

We spent 3 nights at this wonderful place. We filled it with friends and joy, and we made it home. The cottage is not brand new, but never less charming. Clean beds and clean, super functional bathrooms are always in the first place in my checklist, and I didn't get disappointed. We could find everything we needed in the kitchen. The small sauna, outdoor hot tub, lake close by, and walking/bicycling pists gave us fun activities. The owner was easy to reach out, offered a great price, and easy payment process. I stayed here with a group of women for our October getaway and we were super happy with this cottage. The owner was a super communicative, everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived,very spacious, and we really enjoyed the hot tub and sauna for some much needed R&R.
