The most scenic and beautiful camp site I have ever stayed at. The washroom is very close to the camp sites with a loonie shower inside. The grounds are kept very clean and the recycling and garbage bins are also nearby. The general store is large and has lots of booze (bonus). All of the staff are very friendly and smile as they go by. There are no pit fires here so bring a little electric stove if you can. I highly recommend staying here if waking up to a gorgeous view is something you'll appreciate. One morning there was an Otter on the deck!

Loved this place!!! Very cute and quiet and right by anything you need! There is a general store that even sells alcohol a few steps away, plus just across a bridge there is a diner and also a pub! The cabin is situated right on the water which makes such a beautiful setting to wake up to. You can also tell that whoever maintains the grounds and inside does so with great care. Everything was meticulous. I look forward to staying there in the future 😄👍

Sweet little getaway for lunch, provisions for a day trip, and even an overnight if you're so inclined. Awesome staff, delicious food in the restaurant, and a great patio over Garden Bay. Keep an eye out for the stolen dock with purple posts that someone is motoring around the bay. Not from John Henry's but a nearby neighbour ....a lunch time visual treasure hunt!

We happened upon this place while traveling by boat and got stranded due to rough waters. They happened to have 2 cabins available and we snagged them. What a stroke of luck! The cabins were very nicely decorated and very clean. Wonderful bath towels and bed linens. Kitchen had all we needed for our short stay. Great view overlooking the harbor in Garden Bay, with Adirondack chairs to relax and enjoy the view in our private yard. Great fish tacos and burgers the cafe... and the corn & crab chowder was delicious. Plus, best desserts ever! But the best part was the staff: Rudy and Megan; the cafe staff Christopher, Gerald and Tess were so good to us! They truly made our unplanned stay the highlight of our weeklong trip! Thanks to Michelle at the fuel dock for telling us about this place. I would definitely go back and stay much longer next time. They may not have all the amenities of a 5-star hotel, as they only have 4 cabins, but we had a 5 star experience! Thank you to everyone at John Henry's! It happened to be my birthday and you treated me...

This review is for the cafe/shop. It has a nice view and outside sitting area. The person working there accidentally spilled my coffee all over me. They apologized, but still charged me for it. My family enjoyed some fries and they were good. We also picked up some toilet paper and it was $31 for what probably would have cost $10 in the city. I have heard that this place is great from locals. I am wondering if maybe things are a little different right now due to the pandemic. They did have good social distancing controls in place. There was hand sanitizer and gloves at the entrance available for guests. Staff were not wearing masks. Will give them the benefit of the doubt and try again next time I am on the...

We stayed at this place for 3 nights, one night longer than we had planned to because it is such a beautiful place! We visited with a 27 ft RV. They only have 4 motorhome sites and all of them with full hook-up, which made our stay extraordinarily compfortable and pieceful. The sites all face the little harbour. There is a grocery store, some restaurants and a postoffice around the corner. They also have cabins. You can rent Kayaks or a motor boat and the owners are extremely friendly and welcoming! There are some nice lakes to swim in and some hikes with amazing views. If you are looking for a place in this area, this is where you would stay!
