We roughly do about 10 camping trips year and by far had the worst experience with the staff. We arrived early by 90 minutes and when stopped at the gate, the person just kept staring at my eyes. There was no greeting, words or any other message. I mentioned, I have a booking and abruptly answered you are early and you need to turn around. They mentioned you can go to the day time use or go to Squamish. On my way in to turn around, I asked another person if it would be possible to park the RV as the site was clean and this person was at least polite. We decided to leave.

We came at 1:30pm and stopped right at the gate. There was a different older lady by the name of Kat. No words, and takes two fingers and rolls toward herself. Then does it again. I was like I have a booking and she rolls the fingers again and says that this is a "universal language sign for come here". I had to get out of my truck and go to her. I have gone through over 30 campground over the last 3 years from cultus, alice, sasquach, manning, golden ears and never had to step outside. Clearly I was upset with the treatment at this point and got the reservation tags and left. I have no issues getting out from the truck but the rolling of fingers is rude and unprofessional. She wanted to explain the rules but had no patience to listen to her. Another person came to the site to drop off a brochure with rules.

People that are in the service industry should have the basics of greeting and welcoming a guest. If they don't like their job, they should ask to do something else or retire.

Last issue is that the dump station does not take coins or tokens like the others. If you need to leave early, you need to get a code from the...

Campsite Setup & Location – Too small and way too close to other campers – about a one minute walk to pit toilets and the kitchen shelter, and a 10 minute walk to the showers – there was expsoee to wind and sun and not any privacy

• Amenities & Facilities – the bathrooms were not clean (there was garbage in the shower floors including a used tampon, dirt and mould) – there was access to picnic tables about one minute from our campsite with a sick for washing dishes but the water is not safe for consumption – there was shelters abijt a one minute walk from my campsite

• Natural Environment – Beautiful fjord and mountain view – saw some squirrels on our campsite which were so cute

• Noise & Atmosphere – the vibe wasnt very good imo, other campers didn't really talk to us much except to ask me to quiet down my voice (which was reasonable ) – people respected quiet hours but the quiet hours start at 10 pm which is kind of early there was noise from a train that passed through

• Value for Money – I feel that for what we paid the washrooms should have been much more clean and have had a picnic table at our site • Accessibility & Navigation – it was easy to find the campsite – it was a walk in site so we had to park about 2 minutes away from the car and walk over a gravel path

• Nearby Services – it was close to Brittanea, Squamish and North Vancouver so if you needed something you could get it – there was other provincial parks in the area that provided nice hikes and views Overall for...

Honest review on walk-in campsites:

The scenery was the best thing about this campsite. Ocean view campsite is the way to go when booking here. The campsites are extremely close together, so there's pretty much no privacy at all. Be prepared to wake up a few times to crying children in the middle of the night. If it's not the crying then it's the raccoons scrummaging through your campsite, or loud cars racing on the highway. To add on, the raccoon issue is genuinely bad. As an experienced camper, I have never been to a campsite where you have to remove/secure almost all your belongings off your site due to raccoons. They are already food conditioned anyways, so i'm not sure why they don't just relocate the raccoons if they are this big of an issue. During our time here, there was no drinking water available which was lovely. There were four outlets in total but two of them weren't working so it was difficult to charge your items. I'm not trying to dump on this campsite, I still had a great time but I guess this is what you get for the cheap price, but you'll probably have a better experience booking the drive...
