We did backcountry camping here ($5/night/person, pay online beforehand) and it was lovely the first night, quiet and peaceful. A handful of people did come by but they were just day hikers. The second night got really busy (even in the “backcountry”) and we moved spots. Other campers were loud and playing music till 2am and talking loudly. The lake helps sound to travel pretty well anywhere around the circumference of the lake, so just be aware that it won’t really be quiet. The next day, it was quite noisy due to another group flying a quadcopter around the area (even though it’s a no drone zone). Overall, it was a lovely hike and trip, but ridiculously busy on the long weekend. (On the way out, the parking lot was overflowing and cars were parked all along the road leading up to the parking lot). Definitely worth the day hike in my opinion, but probably would not return here to camp again (at least not on a weekend haha!) Other notes: - it’s evident that the wildlife here are accustomed to people and they are quite bold about coming up to people for food, be careful about how food is stored overnight! - there isn’t cell service here at all, make sure to screenshot proof of camp registration/backcountry registration in the event that a park ranger requests to see it. - it’s a rocky hike, converses probably won’t cut it.

Lindeman Lake is one of the most beautiful natural destinations in British Columbia, located in the heart of Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park. This stunning lake is famous for its crystal-clear turquoise water that reflects the surrounding dense forests and towering mountains. The trail leading to it is one of the most popular hiking routes in the area, stretching about 3.4 kilometers round trip, making it suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Along the way, hikers pass through tall trees, small creeks, and giant moss-covered rocks that give the trail a magical and peaceful atmosphere. Upon reaching the lake, visitors are rewarded with a breathtaking view of transparent water where you can easily see the rocky bottom, especially on sunny days. The best time to visit Lindeman Lake is during spring or summer, when the weather is mild and the water glows with its brightest colors. It’s a great spot for swimming, camping, photography, or simply relaxing by the shore while listening to the soothing sounds of nature. Lindeman Lake isn’t just a lake — it’s a place that restores peace to the soul and reminds visitors of the incredible beauty of Canadian wilderness. A perfect destination for anyone seeking a short adventure and unforgettable scenery.

Lindeman lake is explicit and the view is mesmerizing.... it's only 1.8km one way to the lake but you can go further for greentop as well.....the hike doesn't take long but it's steep and rocky so I would not say that it's easy.....but it is highly recommended especially for beginners.

Quick, steep hike up to Lindeman should take most parties between 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours. Very busy during the day, if doing only Lindeman I would come very early or late in the day to avoid congestion on the trail. Greendrop and Flora lakes are both substantial next steps to take for a day hike, would recommend overnighting it. All 3 lakes have campsites, though Lindeman is so crowded it's not...
