Outdated doesn’t begin to cover my “ resort” experience. Hall carpets worn through to the plywood led to a room that looked like everything (except the missing art over the bed) was so old it was off to the dump. Worn out carpets, stained fixtures in the bathroom and an armchair with slick greasy arms that screamed “ don’t touch” we’re in good company with a bed that had clean sheets, but the mattress was worn out in the middle ( like a sleep taco)The pool was empty except for a toxic looking swamp that formed I’m assuming for the bugs to enjoy. If you’re looking for a party spot, there are NO staff to bother you after 5:00, but very few other guests were there when I visited so I’m assuming the quiet ones like me were just putting in their non refundable time.

It’s not that we disliked this place, but it’s a far cry from what it SHOULD/COULD (once was!) be! There is a hotel, conference center and RV park. Everything is so badly run down and uncared for. We were there in an RV and could not possibly stay in the first site they gave us. It was supposed to have water and power. No where to be seen! We moved to another site, all dry dirt and gravel, but it did have amazing views of the golf course. Unfortunately we couldn’t golf because of the Cariboo Open happening. Apparently there are new Asian owners that don’t want to spend money for upkeep. This place has the potential to be very cool, all it needs is some maintenance, love and money…and maybe some pride of ownership.

My husband and I returned for our second trip this year 2023 and the service was still as great as ever. we were advised that there were 3 bears coming around looking for food and to keep everything we had in our unit till the follow day when then came to pick up the garbage. Fantastic view friendly helpful staff: giving an A+ on service. Rooms are clean and fresh smelling. You pass by a historic site prior to getting to the hotel built with logs. Also plenty of deer. You have to watch out as they like to dash into the road.

MUST READ BEWARE **

The resort is beautiful with a great sunset veiw , golf is good with a great driveing range. I felt welcome with only “ Some “ of the staff unfortunately. I don’t usually name names but this person should be FIRED immediately..

“Benita” she is not a good person at all she does next to nothing and steals other employees tips.. that are left in the rooms they are scheduled to clean. She takes advantage of hours on her time card that she “Worked” but cleans next to nothing an just makes herself look busy.. thats very unfortunate for the other employees there that actually put in the work an effort. This is something that I’ve noticed over the time I’ve spent at the 108 resort. This “ Benita “ woman walks around the resort throwing bags of cans An laundry while aggressively swearing , she talks rudely about other employees An guests openly loud for guests to hear. I recently had a friend stay with the resort also. they also had nothing but bad things to say about this “Benita” woman aswell that’s not even the worst part of this whole review.

So my friend his wife their 2 kids stayed for 3 nights at the resort, everything was great other than the bathrooms could use some love, I’d recommend reno’s be done.

Anyways it was time for my friends to leave the resort An pay their bill. The bill for their stay was (290$) . My friend payed his bill An left for home he payed cash to a woman named “Marcy” he said she seemed rude An unwelcoming also, unfortunate but some people just don’t have very good costumer service skills.

Now this is where it gets weird an very suspicious,

My friend recived a call later that day saying that he didn’t pay his bill and he was astounded! … he said could you check again please an they said no there is no transaction history here of you paying. Now this “Marcy” woman sits out front of the resort every morning she works An talks with this “Benita” woman I mentioned earlier talking about guests an other employees rudely , that’s how I heard them talking about employees an guests in the first place ,

if you ask me if this “Benita” woman is stealing tips from rooms that others are supposed to clean. what’s to stop this “Marcy”woman from pocketing the 290$ that my friend payed for his stay at the 108 Resot.

It’s clearly obvious they’ve bin there for a long time… so it’s not the first time moneys bin stolen from the resort. I hope these thieves be brought to justice An are fired or charged for stealing. That is not OKAY. PERIOD.

This needs SERIOUS attention immediately. I hope this review gets taken seriously maybe put a fire under the person in charge of these pour souls.

Other than these 2 people everyone els was great but unfortunately I will never stay at this resort again An nor will my friend an his wife. Between me an my friend we know a lot of locals an people who pass threw and they will all be informed of this treacherous acts.

It’s sad how people need to act this way an think they can get away with it. Considering how long they’ve bin with the resort it will probably happen again an they will get away with it, because the person in charge is sad to say… just doesn’t care…

Thank you for takeing the time to read an inform yourself with these...

My extended family has been vacationing here for years. The location is quiet and scenic. Most of the staff are friendly. (I was especially appreciative of the cleaning staff...the extra touches while cleaning our room did not go unnoticed! The lady working the complimentary breakfast on one of our days there however seemed like she needed a few extra hours of sleep...and some lessons in hospitality!)

While there have been some recent upgrades to the motel - flat screen TVs and an extension to the breakfast eating area - it seemed like several components in regards to maintenance have been overlooked. The pool, which is usually the hang out spot for our family, was very dirty. I couldn't even bring myself to go in it this year. The deck had not been swept in a while (one of my cousins found a broom and swept parts of it) and tall weeds were growing out of the cracked concrete and all around the run-down fence surrounding the pool. There is very little shade on the pool deck now as one of the tables and umbrellas had been moved to an unused grassy area close by. The playground area, which badly needs an upgrade, was overgrown with weeds as well. We found lots of little hazards all around the property in addition to these things. Management definitely needs to hire a few extra people with attention to detail and get the place back up to par!

One other thing that disappointed me this year was the change in the time of their breakfast. Last year, guests could eat anytime between 7 and 10am. This year, they cut it back an hour (7-9am), resulting in a mad rush at 8:30am. We had to take our food "to go" and eat it in our room as there was nowhere to sit. I really hope they go back to serving breakfast til 10am. It makes for a more relaxed morning for those of us who like the extra sleep on our vacation, and it is easier to accommodate a larger amount of people too.

Overall, we have had some good memories staying here, but this place has gone downhill in many aspects over the years. I really hope some changes are made soon as it has potential to be a very nice...

This review is simply about the golf resort, NOT the golf course, just the accommodations.

We arrived at the 108 Golf resort on the Thursday afternoon, we headed to the lobby to check in. We received the room key from the desk clerk and made our way to the room. Rather than drag this review out, I will go to bullet points.

When we opened the door we were hit with the undeniable stentch of cigarette smell in the room.

Subsequent conversation with the desk clerk about the smell and the overall cleanliness of the room, yielded the details that the manager was on the golf course. Great, we figured that since this was literally the definition of "The Hospitality industry" that the managaer would come take care of the situation.

So pushing three hours later, the manager had not made an appearance, we were no closer to a room change, a room recleaning or a discount of any kind. So my next trek back to the clerk resulted in an entirely different person coming out of another door further down the hall.

This person then said " Get your money back and move on" She then proceeded to bemoan the fact that it was hard to maintain staff in this Cov-id era (I can get payed by the government from my couch mentality)

While I understand the difficulties of staffing with these times, that is entirely a "YOU" problem. My problem is that I am not independently wealthy, so I have to go work in order to travel and secure hotel rooms.

The takeway from all of this, was that they couldn't give two tosses about customer service. So we called the Super 8 In 100 Mile House and got a room for the duration of our stay. Funny thing, The 108 Golf resort's rooms were, if I'm generous, right out of "Hot Tub Time Machine" circa 1980. The room at the Super 8 was ten minutes down the road. For the same rate, it was clean, invoked mental images of just what a hotel room should look like. Not to mention a King size bed with a jaccuzzi tub in the room. Did I mention all this for...
