This place has great potential given its location and close proximity to the bridge. If you are planning on staying here because it's the closest thing when you get off the bridge and you just want to sleep, please save yourself the dissapointment and drive an extra 10 minutes for something I can only assume would be better than this place. We came from N.S to do a job, we brought our kids with us (16, 7) because we weren't sure how long we were going to be and couldn't just leave them home. Our boss paid for 3 nights but we asked them to hold it for a fourth just incase the job went longer than expected. Well we got room 12 and let me tell you just take a peek under the bed if you want to see how good housekeeping is. Within my first 10 minutes in the room I found a wallet that belonged to a guest who stayed the previous week, I reached out to her to find out the housekeeping said they couldn't find it. If only they did their job and changed the bedding they would have seen it. The room was dirty and the beds...well you would almost be better off sleeping on the floor since it felt like we were on cement. The only reason we stayed is because the room was already paid for. Our third night there, they mention check out and my husband says we need it for the fourth day that we held it for because the kids need somewhere to be while we work. "Why would I say I'd hold a room for you, everything is online" so they booked our room out and moved the four of us down to room 22 instead...a 1 bed room for 4 people. The room looked alot nicer than the previous one buuuuuuut it reeked of pure human pee. Needless to say, they will probably make double their money off that room tonight as there's no way we are sleeping there even though it's paid for...homeward bound back to nova scotia and away from that horrible experience please do yourself a huge favor and read these reviews and take them seriously to save yourself money and...
Read moreHey all, so first trip to PEI and was so excited cause all I kept hearing about was the hospitality and charm the people of PEI had to offer to everyone. SO not the case. So I contacted this motel to do a one night stay on our first night there at end of august 2022, and the woman on the other end was kind at first until I mentioned my service dog for my disability. Attitude changed quickly after that when she stated your pet can not stay here. I tried to explain to her that she is not a pet but a working dog, she didn't care. So cause she was being so rude to me and discriminatory towards me, I advised her that to deny a service animal is again PEI regulation (i looked it up) and that if she wanted to continue to deny my service dog it could result in her business receiving a fine from $300 to $3000 from PEI. She said please hold a second ill put someone else on phone that knows about this. I said okay. The woman hung up on me. Then when I tried to call back, they refused to answer my call. This is totally out of line and horrible for business, I will be letting my word of mouth fly on this to anyone heading towards PEI. I am a person too and I need my service dog to survive. I only wish other people would be so rude, cruel and unfair to people like me with...
Read moreEasy to get to after a long drive.||Very basic - but - everything needed for a good night rest. The "discounted" price we paid ( $148) is NOT worth it. On a future trip - at that price, we'd continue and look for a more cost effective alternative.||||That said, it is very easy to get to - very close to the Confederation Bridge. The rooms facing the back, open field are very quiet.||||Rooms are old but rejuvenated, functional, and adequate. WIFI is excellent. ||The attached Coffee shop is certainly convenient - BUT - deap-fried 'everything' is NOT a good choice of food.. and the prices are not in line with the low quality of the food.||Breakfast is conveniently located in the attached coffee shop - BUT - their prices are more in line with an up-scale alternative. $11.50 for a standard breakfast ( toast / 2 eggs / bacon / jam / coffee ) is, in our opinion too high.||||On the up-side, "some" of the staff is very friendly, talkative and supportive. Others are shy and don't speak English too well. ( assume this will...
