For whoever wants a super detailed review! 😂 We came by in snowy December. Staff was wonderful and accommodating. Called that morning and told them about the unstable weather and changed plans a little but also updated them that we might be rolling in a little after 7pm (when the kitchen closes) We made it with 15min to spare but they weren't impatient or rushing us to finish eating and Veronica even stayed to serve people who arrived after 7pm. The bison burger was amazing and/or we were just very hungry lol the onion rings too. Staff was really friendly and made good conversation. They also were up early shoveling snow off the front sidewalk to our cars. Were able to park right by an outlet for to plug in our engine block heater. Rooms were clean and reminded me of our family cabin back home, I think some people in the reviews expect a super fancy room, but for its remote location, just expect a comfy cabin feel. Only complaints were no TV (which is fine cuz we just stayed one night), and shower water temp a bit unstable. They are still under water boil advisory so they gave us water bottles for the night! Right across from the Liard hot springs, it's a 15min walk to the springs across the road. Not bad! Breakfast was ready at 8am and the staff wished us good luck on our travels. Gas was right on the property. Definitely a cute and cozy place for passing through.

This is a spot recommended to me as a mid way stop on the Alaskan Highway. Best idea ever! The lodge is rustic and dated and that is part of its charm. Warm. They have sandwiches and snacks available but not meals during the winter months. Across the road and up a bit is the entrance to the natural hot spring. It’s a neat experience compared to the more commercial types made into pools or hot tubs. There is a walkway over the marsh to the change building. It has step that go down into the river. The river is warm and as you swim or walk through it - it has really warm and hot spots, but since it’s a natural river you can feel the water mixing from the snow melt and the hot spring. Truly unique experience. Peaceful with the snow, trees and natural environment all around. Book the lodge a head, only a handful of rooms. The springs themselves are part of a national park which on google reads as closed. The parking lot is ploughed and it is free in winter. I believe it’s $5/person in summer when park is open.

We stayed here for a solid week while most guests were just passing through and in and out in a day or two. It might be the most remote RV park we've ever stayed in, and it was certainly an experience. It's the first time we've ever had a bear walk through our campsite. The entrance to Liard Hot Springs is walking distance from the campground. The food that comes out of the kitchen is exceptional especially given how remote this park is. There is 30A service and water at each campsite. No sewer hookups at the sites but there is dump tank on the way out that does come at an extra charge even if you're staying in the park. There is no campground wi-fi and you can forget about any cell reception whatsoever (even with our WeBoost). The showers were out of order during our stay. There is also a boil-water advisory at the time of our stay but the campground did forewarn us of that prior to booking.

This is my first Google Review ever. Me and my partner stayed here for one night on our way back from a road trip (by car, so we did not use any RV amenities) to Tuktoyaktuk this past June. Expensive, but whatever. It's the middle of nowhere. It's expensive to run. Services/resources are, expectedly, somewhat limited. It makes sense. I can totally understand that. My first problem came not when the wifi did not work, but when we were, very dismissively, refused a partial refund when checking out the next morning due to the wifi not working. We paid for a room with wifi and were given a room without wifi. Doesn't seem like an unreasonable ask in my opinion. If that was all that happened, I likely wouldn't have felt compelled enough to write this review. However, when I asked a member of staff for the wifi password so that we could find somewhere to stay the next night (expectedly, as it's the middle of nowhere, there is no cell phone service), they tried to charge me for it... what??? Are these people from a different planet? Surely the cultural difference between the United States and Canada isn't so great that it's customary to pay extra for something you already paid for and never received at the time it was promised??? After I pressed her a bit, she eventually agreed to give me the new password (they feel the need to change it every day for some reason???) if she could type it in on my phone so that I couldn't see... why? Even if I wanted to give the wifi password out, who is there to give it to that hasn't already paid for a room? My partner who was also promised a room with wifi? A truck driving down the highway at 100kph? A moose? I could hardly react because I genuinely could not believe that a human who has survived to adulthood was acting this way right before my eyes. The absolute worst (and possibly most bizarre) service interaction I've ever had with any kind of hospitality worker in my life. A stain on an otherwise incredible and unforgettable road trip, and I would've been absolutely fine even with the extremely basic room and absence of promised wifi if not for the unbelievably...

Fantastic location but the rooms are small, the washroom in our room wasn't very clean (other peoples business in the toilet, hair on the sink and a dirty gross shower curtain), the floor under the beds was disgusting (we dropped a marker and when I went to get it I discovered an old water bottle, a pipe cleaner and a bunch of other peoples food crumbs), no tv, no microwave and no AC. The beds are comfortable though so that's good. The wifi is very unreliable, which makes the lack of other activities on the property especially frustrating; but when you have a monopoly as the only hotel near the hotsprings (the proximity really is excellent) you really only have to exist and people will come. We bypassed the Northern Rockies Lodge at Muncho Lake in favour of this lodge as it was closer to the hot springs but I wish we had stayed there instead. I get really disappointed when I see opportunities for excellence bypassed because money can be made without going the extra mile, and that is what's happened here. The food at the restaurant is decent, our first meal wasn't very good but our dinner meal was quite tasty and the chef is so friendly, you can tell he really wants people to enjoy what he makes, but the hours are limited and that's a difficult pill to swallow when there is nowhere else nearby to purchase snacks or drinks. Entertainment is non existent, a small games room with air hockey or a pool table or even a fooseball table, perhaps a small outdoor play structure for children, just something for people to do other then just relying on the proximity to the hotsprings to be good enough (especially if you're not going to provide basic amenities like television or decent internet), would go a long way. The staff are very friendly and helpful though, i did appreciate that. This place has the ability to be great, a tourist attraction in and of itself, if only the owners would make the investment. Very sad. I will...

We stayed at this campground for 1 night. We have a 30 foot motorhome and pull a car. The site we had was a pull through. We knew the water was not for drinking and we knew we had electricity and that there was a dump station. They advertise they have wifi. We paid 69 Canadian for our site. It was 15 min walking distance to the Liard River Hot springs which are amazing. What isnt amazing here at this campground is that there is no wifi at your campsite , it was only available in the office area. But thaat is not what they advertise. When we stayed in the office and tried to get on the wifi with the code they gave us we had no service. When we questioned the front desk they told us we couldn’t get on the wifi unless we pay an additional 5 dollars . Now they had just checked us into our campsite, taken our money, gave us the wifi code. And told us we could only get service in the office and now they are telling us we have to pay more money to get wifi. We picked this campground for the wifi . This private campground was not honest with us. They were not very friendly. The campsite itself is just dried grass and dirt. They are taking complete advantage of their location to over charge campers that want to visit the Liard River Hot Springs. I would highly recommend AVOIDING this spot and recommend camping at either the Liard River Hot Springs Provincial site across the street from this campground or camp in the overflow area across from the Liard River Hot springs Provincial. The hot Springs are great but this campground and the people running it suck. We had already left a deposit for our reservation so we were stuck in our situation. All you can expect from this campground is electricity . This was a very disappointing campground experience for our camping group. Campers beware,...
