I have been attending Ponderosa Campground for approximately 3 years now as a visitor. Henry is an absolute sweetheart & would go above and beyond for anyone. They are very accommodating, friendly & a blast to hang out with. There is always entertainment at the barn (which is hard to come by nowadays), a pool, usually a washer tournament or 2 going on, themed weekends, and more. You always feel welcome. If I had a trailer, I'd 100% park it there. The cabins are great, with a private washroom & and their own little area to have a fire. I 10/10 recommend this Campground. Thanks, Henry & the crew for ALWAYS making me feel like family when I visit!

This campground is the worst we have ever been!!! I registered weeks before but they won't give us campsite number until we get there. So we packed up early and to be told that check in time is 2 pm (which kind of odd) but they let us in anyway at 11 am. During these phone calls, I made it clear to them what we were looking for. Quiet stay, away from city hectic life. NO indication or whatsoever about the activity expected to happen there. They mentioned quiet time will be enforced at 10 pm on regular weekend and 11 pm on long weekend.

During registration, I told him we would like to stay 2 nights but I got it mistaken on the date listed. He wrote 29 Jun-1Jul and we were billed around $101 (tax included). We left a day early and no refund

We were taken to pick our site and decided to go with site H for it's quietness. We took the bad site. We were at Rodeo Range site no H. Water tap was old, we had to use the one nearby with the site renter's permission. Site was covered with biting ants nests! I thought since we covered the ground with tarp, it would be okay. Nope! We got bitten all over. So we bought little inflatable pool to dip ourselves from the heat and ants.

Nearby active train tracks. They are freight trains. Came every 30 mins. it will blow it's whistle 6 times. I know because every time the whistle heard, it gave our 2.5 year old daughter a jolt and I had to calm her down again in hope she would be able to sleep.

To use the bathroom (which is in the middle of the campground area) you have to pass this horseshoe game players.

Campsite has WiFi(you have to register)but it allows you to try it for first 15 minutes free. lol.... I couldn't even check my email as it was so slow, I decided not worth to register for the paying one.

We didn't try to pool as it was crowded with people and doesn't seem to be welcoming a 2.5 years old in there.

We didn't try the playground as it was a super hot day.

The following are posted in their website. Our experience is written in capital as google doesn't allow inclined or bold.

Rules and Regulations NO Refunds, NO rain check for early departure or bad weather. THEY REFUSED OUR REFUND BY SAYING WE CHECKED OUT ON JULY 1ST JUST AS IT STATED, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS MENTIONED TWO NIGHTS AND WE ARRIVED ON JUNE 30TH INSTEAD OF JUNE 29TH.

Quiet hours commence at 11:00 PM. COMPLETELY MISGUIDING. THE "MOVIE ROOM" TURNED OUT TO BE COUNTRY STYLE PUB AND BAR WITH BLASTED MUSIC RUN UNTIL 12.30 AM. SEVERAL CAMPERS TURNED UP THEIR TRUCKS MUSICS SO LOUD UP UNTIL 2 AM. WE COMPLAINED ABOUT IT AND HE SAID I SHOULD HAVE CALLED HIM. OUR DAUGHTER WAS TERRIFIED WITH THE NOISES AND SHE WON'T LET GO OF ME PLUS THE HEAT MY HUBBY DECIDED CURLED UP NEXT TO OUR VAN INSTEAD OF LOOKING FOR NUMBERS. LIGHTS EVERYWHERE EVEN WHEN IT WAS PAST 12 AM. CARS MOVING HERE AND THERE. IT WAS SUCH A BIZARRE VIEW ALTHOUGH WE UNDERSTOOD WITH THE SOCCER GAMES AND CANADA DAY CELEBRATION. BUT BEYOND MIDNITE? THAT'S JUST TOO MUCH!!! THE OWNER SAID HE IS AROUND AND IF WE HAD CALLED, HE MIGHT BE ABLE TO DO SOMETHING. BUT I CAN BET YOU $1000 THE NOISE CAN BE HEARD FROM ALBERT STREET (MAIN HIGHWAY).

Registered day guests are requested to vacate the campsite by 10:00 PM. SEVERAL GUESTS PARKED CARS WERE STILL AT THE FRONT PARKING AREA WHEN WE LEFT AT 10 AM.

Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and not be allowed to bother campers. Please stoop and scoop. NO Pit bulls or aggressive dogs allowed. WHEN WE PACKED UP, 3 DOGS CAME TO OUR SITE AS OUR DAUGHTER WAS MUNCHING ON HER BREAKFAST. DOGS WERE COMPLETELY OFF LEASH.

Speed limit: 10 km/h. For your safety, and to protect children , this speed limit is strictly enforced. PROTECT CHILDREN FROM GETTING RUN BY CAR BUT DIDNT ALLOW THE CHILDREN TO HAVE A PIECE OF MIND BY SIMPLY SLEEPING FOR NAP OR NIGHT TIME SLEEP. MUSIC BLASTED FROM CAMPERS AND NO ENFORCEMENT AT ALL. SOME PEOPLE CAN BE SO SELF CENTERED AND YET, NOTHING WAS DONE BY THE CAMPGROUND.

Last but not least, not kid friendly, not family oriented, not even deserve to be called a...

I am utterly revolted and deeply disgusted by the despicable behavior of the trailer park owner. During my weekend stay at the park, my wife was subjected to verbal abuse and racist remarks from the owner himself. It's appalling that someone in a position of authority would display such hostility and discrimination towards Paying guests. Additionally, the majority of residents seemed to struggle with alcoholism, which only added to the unpleasant atmosphere. Furthermore, the trailer park was plagued by excessive partying and noise, creating a disruptive environment. When I confronted the owner for disrespecting my wife he kicked us out and refused to give us a refund!

The complete lack of professionalism and basic human decency exhibited by the owner is unacceptable. Visiting this trailer park felt like entering a hostile and unwelcoming environment. I strongly advise against anyone considering staying here. The toxic atmosphere created by the owner's actions and excessive drinking among residents, and the constant partying make it an inhospitable place for anyone seeking peace...

If you want a family friendly park, this is not the place.

Visited this park during Canada Day long wknd with my family.

We were tent camping on a site that we were told there was one of a selection of private sites. Turns out there are no private lots here and they are all small lots with lot of red ant hills.

These lots are directly across from the building they do activities in.

There was a dance for adults 9-12 and the music was incredibly loud, u didn't need to be there to hear every single lyric.Even worst there was music played by other campers until 2am.At this point we could hear commotion from the pool area, which shuts at 8pm. I'm assuming it's the same bunch of drunk seasonal campers that were gathered outside the dance hall. The same bunch of drunks driving around the park in golf carts usually with a beer can during the day and the night.Be prepared to get bitten by red ants, and no laying ground tarps won't help. Hope you got after bite. There was melted cake and free hot dogs as well as free face painting at noon. This park is horrible for families. Too...
