Top Notch Motel & Restaurant — Hotel in Georgian Bluffs

NOT A FIVE STAR MOTEL!! I only put five stars so every person that checks this motel out will see my review!! I would give absolutely a no star rating hands down!! They are the most arrogant people I have probably ever met in my entire life. It was so bad I really don't even think they should own a motel at all actually probably not even any kind of business they have NO customer service not even the littlest bit!! And when I try to call they hang up and say stop calling here I only called twice. The first time it rang then they picked up the phone and hung up. I actually thought maybe this was a mistake. But then I call second time and she picked up the phone and screamed in my ear as loud as she could stop calling here.. Well seems to me they don't want any business what so ever and I have never called there in my life before. I do not know what I did to deserve this... I did stay there once before but I just showed up and they had a room but they were so rude and belittling to me and I was nothing but nice and calm and I even helped them with cleaning and left them a tip even. But yes still so rude I actually cried I can't believe there are people like this with a buissness that deals with the public. They shouldn't be able to be like this. I only called this time I was up in that area I needed a room so bad and not a lot of money so I was just calling to see if they had a room available and how much and this is what I got! Wow Top notch way to stay "Top notch" haha what a fu**ing joke!! Please everyone if you see my review take it seriously because I do not ever write anything ever like this but I would like to save as many people as I can from any disrespect and the worse feeling of disregard from these people as possible!! So I hope I saved someone from the hassle of dealing with these...

I've never stayed at a motel before but I have stayed at many hotels, so my review may be a bit biased towards hotel living. We booked 5 rooms at this place and received 3 rooms in the old side of the building and 2 in the newer side. The newer side wasnt really new but was moderately better. We found that the rooms in the older side of the building (rooms 1 to 5) had a stale damp smell and needed to be thoroughly aired out. The rooms were smaller than those on the other side (rooms 6 onwards) but were in a similar dilapidated state. Each of the 5 rooms were different in minor ways. The amenities advertised was a fridge, tv and microwave, however, out the 3 older side rooms 1 had a microwave, 1 was missing a fridge, 1 had a couch while the other 2 didnt, 1 had a 30 year old Trinitron tv boxset while 2 had flatscreens. The 2 newer side rooms had all amenities and hair dryers as well. 1 of the rooms, which had the tv mounted to the wall; had a short Cable wire which was too short to connect to the wall - so basically couldn't watch tv. The furniture in all rooms were somewhat different and didn't match which made it seem as though they were picked up from a liquidation sale. Coming to the pros: The owners were welcoming, polite and hospitable, they were courteous to address the issues we had the best they could. The rooms were clean (somewhat) - clean sheets, clean towels, lots of pillows. I noticed spiders inside the rooms and many webs outside and some tiny roaches in the bathroom. We did have wifi for the first day we stayed and not the second. I usually support small business but overall this place has a lot of work to do. I've eaten here before. It was usually good tasting food. Once I noticed the owners not cooking the food, it slowly went down hill from there. My last visit and I mean "my last visit", I ordered an ultimate grill cheese sandwich with fries. I also asked for a soup to start. After waiting 25 minutes, I finally got the soup. Soup was good. Two minutes after I got the soup, my sandwich came. Unfortunately it wasn't the ultimate grill cheese sandwich I ordered. It was a plain and simple grilled cheese sandwich without the ham, fried onions and tomato. I told the waitress this isn't the ultimate sandwich. She said it was and that's how it comes. I had to tell her to read the menu. She left. After waiting another 10 minutes, I finally ended up eating the plain grilled cheese sandwich. Halfway through she brought me the ultimate. I said, I also ordered fries. 5 minutes later I got burnt fries that tasted horrible. I never ate them. I told the waitress my complaints and she said absolutely nothing. She just nodded her head. I paid the full price with no tip obviously. I won't be back...
