I've been to plenty of subways, and this was easily the most normal experience I've had. I know based on my other reviews you'll probably think there's gonna be some spooky/random twist put in here somewhere, but I can assure you that isn't the case.
The front of house people were very nice and helpful with the sub making process. I ordered a 12" pizza sub on Italian herb and cheese bread.
The girl behind the counter asked if I wanted the marinara sauce, and I said yes. She proceeded to make direct eye contact with me, and gave me a huge smile. Slowly, her mouth began to open, and marinara sauce leaked out of it and onto the sub sitting on the counter below. The lights seem to form a vignette around the two of us, erasing the other employees and customers from my peripheral vision.
The whole time this was happening, I couldn't pull my stare away from her eyes. Something told me if I did, there would be horrific and catastrophic consequences. I couldn't dare look at the marinara while it was falling. The screams were so loud, but I didn't dare join them. It's not my time yet. It's not my time yet. It's not my time yet. Read moreI Picked up 3 Subs Friday night via an online order. I got home to find my sub was made with all the wrong toppings. It was the toppings that was ordered on one of the other subs.
Being a half hour away from the sub shop, I did not return, but instead ate the Sub as it was. Not much choice.
I decided to call the store. The person that actually made my sub talked to me. I explained to her that my sub had the incorrect toppings. The toppings on the bill were correct. The Sub was not.
So she proceeded to say that she personally made it, and made it CORRECTLY... I responded to her that she did not, explaining what was incorrect. She again stated that she did not make the sub incorrectly. This repeated several times... with a smug attitude.
She told me to bring back the Sub and they would remake it. I told her that I had ate it, because I did not have much of a choice, as I did not want an hour of travel, there and back, to correct their error. She then said there was nothing she can do. There was no 'Evidence'...
She basically had called me a liar, telling me repeatedly that she did not make it incorrectly. Very unprofessional and just down right rude.
And even with the wrong toppings, the sub was so small a 12" was not even filling. Constant disappointments...

When I arrived to pick it up, they had substituted the bread without even contacting me. When I politely brought it up, instead of offering to remake the sandwich with the correct bread or offering any kind of solution, the staff member told me to “just cancel the order online” and pay for a new one if I wanted it fixed.
Absolutely unacceptable. I expect better from Subway — especially when it comes to basic customer service. If you’re going to make changes to someone’s order, the least you can do is notify them and try to resolve it when they bring it up. I left with the wrong order and no help. They should have contacted us or waited until we arrived to make the sandwich. Apparently, they only had white bread. I don’t understand how it’s acceptable for Subway to not have other kinds of bread. Also, if you didn’t have the bread, you shouldn’t have accepted the order in the first place.
