I found this place on the Bruce trail website and although in the end we didn't do any hike, we did stay at Bonnybank and enjoyed it extremely much. From the moment I booked Carla helped us with practical issues as well as with inspiration of what to see in the neighbourhood. Bonnybank is nicely tucked away but not difficult to find at all. Rooms are very comfortable, breakfast very tasty and Willow extremely kind... and the chipmunks fun to look at! The tour through the garden was also great. I don't know if it will be given to us to visit Canada another time but if that will be the case - for sure Bonnybank will be on the list!

What a find! This historic faux Tudor mansion takes you back 100 years to tall forests and green riverbanks among the fruit orchard set way back from the small street that meanders down to Jordan estuary. The forest is cool and full of birdsong not least from the owl sanctuary next door. A wonderful warm and knowledgeable host serves healthy local breakfasts and offers insights into local natural highlights and activities. I was transported to a different era miles away from fast cars and new builds. The morning walk in the orchard lane was magical.

We had a great stay at Bonnybank B&B after an anniversary dinner nearby. We had never been to the town of Lincoln, and felt that this was a unique and interesting property to visit. It certainly is! Lots of history that can be found on their website and much more in the home itself and from your host Carla. Our room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. Carla is such a pleasant host, accommodating to guests, and has a lot of knowledge of the area and local attractions. We highly recommend this B&B and would certainly return again in the future.

What a lovely experience. This charming historic house is furnished with a collection of antiques, local pottery and collectibles, and is located in a quiet rural area with a pretty garden and an untamed river bank. There is an owl sanctuary next door and you can hear the birds at night, and even see them if you're careful and quiet. The owner Carla is so knowledgeable about the history and environment of the area. She served up delicious local food and even a wild puffball mushroom that grew on the property. The other delightful host is a dog named Willow who is so friendly and well behaved. Rural properties always have their quirks like not all the taps have potable water but Carla supplied plenty of carafes. Highly recommended for an unusual, timeless and atmospheric stay in the heart of...

Bonnybank B & B is just such an amazing find in such a lovely area! Carla's historical home is filled with history and character that makes you feel like you have arrived home. She greets you with her caring and sweet demeanour that welcomes you immediately! Her rooms are spotless and Carla pays such attention to detail making sure you have everything you possibility could need. Coffee is ready for you first thing in the morning while she prepares such an incredible breakfast with many items coming right from her own garden. A tour of her grounds just makes you want to stay. Peace and tranquility is everywhere and her sweet dog Willow shows you the same love that Carla does. Take time to stay at Bonnybank. Carla can recommend anything you want to do in the area. This is a perfect place to stay if you're revitalized by nature. Accessibility to the outdoors is abundant. Owl calls are a constant nighttime soundtrack. Carla, Bonnybank's proprietor, is an accomplished accessible nature tours operator. We participated in a morning birding hike with a local birding expert. The availability of such activities was a delightful dynamic, available only at unique operations such as Bonnybank. Carla's knowledge of the region's natural history and local flora and fauna is impressive and is shared with a singular calm and gentle style. We stayed two nights. Breakfast each morning was great. The offerings were varied and tasty. (Special dietary options are available.) And the coffee and tea were hot and plentiful!|Double thumbs up!...
