Best Western Plus Mont-Laurier — Hotel in Mont-Laurier

Very upset with the service of the staff member Stephane. Had to stop here after a snow storm on the road, so it was late during the night, therefor my friend asked the lady at check in for a late 12 pm checkout, she said yes, no problem. I was checking in with Stephane at the same time and ask him for the same late checkout, 2 minutes later, to which he says he isn't sure if it's possible and will need to verify. He doesn't verify so after paying I ask him again. He, again, says he isn't sure this is possible and needs to check. I politely explain to him his colleagues just gave our friend we are travelling with late checkout so it would be nice if we could have a late check out as well, not have to leave earlier and wait for him in the car while he does his late check out... PLUS I PAID FOR A ROOM UPGRADE, 65$ MORE THAN MY FRIEND, SO HOW AM I PAYING 65$ more yet are receiving worse service and can not get the same late checkout??????? Finally Stephane says it'll be okay. NEXT MORNING I GET A CALL WAKING ME UP AT 11:13 AM to ask me to check out?!?!?!?! I tell them Stephane had said we could have late check out and they say it's not a problem... so Stephane really could of just wrote it in the notes or whatever the girl did while checking in our friend who did not get woken up. I couldn't fall back asleep after receiving the phone call, so Stephane's incompetence didn't allow me to get the sleep i was expecting here, especially after playing 65$ EXTRA, just to have a more comfortable room. Extremely disappointed and wish I would of checked in with the girl instead...

My wife and I stayed 1 night, checking in before 2PM. A nice smiling receptionist took my payment as I signed a liability sheet, then provided the keycards with the wifi code.|We took our bags behind the reception to the 1st floor hall. Room #108 was wood floored, very clean and spacious with 1 comfortable queen, closet, medium sized refrigerator, keurig, couch and sliding door to a 2 chair patio. The bathroom had a tub shower with good hot water, soap, shampoo and nice towels. The large TV had a satellite guide(CBC, CNN, CTV, Burlington networks, PBS, TSN & many French channels). Good secure wifi, outlets and lighting.|We did laps in the lovely 15’ x 45’ heated indoor pool with towels, shower and toilet.|The 6AM lobby breakfast was attentively serviced and complete; OJ, fruit, eggs with meats/hashbrowns, cereal, yogurt, waffles, bagels, toast with a proper assorted coffee machine.||Overall, a great night’s sleep with a...

We were a family of 3 with a 4 year old daughter. Was for a quick overnight stay. First the good.... The hotel itself was really nice. The staff was extremely friendly and always had a smile. Great indoor pool, my 4 year old absolutely loved it. The breakfast was really good and was all your.standard continental items (cereal, bagels, toast, pastries, yougurt) but also included 2 hot items (western omelette and waffles). Served 6:30am - 10am on saturday. Now the bad... The room was a big disappointment...especially as we were staying as corporate guests...the airconditioner/fan was so loud tbat it kept our daughter up all night, the beds were rock hard and the pillows were a weird size making your neck at a weird angle. Overall will still definitely stay again when in the area. Was still overall...
