Restaurant Le Buffet Chinois Mont-Laurier — Restaurant in Mont-Laurier

This is the second time to visit this restaurant. Food is great but the service of our waitress leaves room for improvement. This waitress continued to pass over our table as she cleaned and attended to the other customers. When I asked her to clear the plates from the table she just glared at me...attendee to her station arranging plates, glasses etc before clearing our plates . She then went to all other waitresses in the restaurant telling them that I was annoying..in French...not realizing that I also speak French. The second was the beginning of the implementation of the QR Code. Upon entering we were asked for our code. We did not have it as it failed to download the previous day. As I was explaining this to the greeter, the Waiterss** from the previous visit interrupted yelling that the Town that we were from was in Quebec so there was no reason not to have the code. This was happening at the door in front of all customers. I returned to the car to retrieve my Vax certificate but the Greeter was no longer interested in listening to me...Needless to say we left the restaurant and found a much more inviting and friendlier place to eat to end our 7 hour drive to Mont Laurier. And...we were able to download our Code. I wonder what the 3rd...

Best Chinese food I've had in the area! Only Chinese food I've had in the area¡

Decent variety of food. Quick to refill whatever was emptied in the buffet.

It's an old building, but that just adds to the charm of the place, with its Chinese decor.

Service was friendly, waitress caught onto my English accent when speaking in French, and she began serving me in English, which was thoughtful and welcoming of her.

There was a hour before lunch buffet was over when we arrived. I had called ahead and was told it was done at 3 then when we arrived she said 2:30. Could have brought more wings and ribs but didn't. The rice had no taste no vegetables in it and barley any chicken. Salad, desert ice cream, fruit and jellow were all OK. It was cheap tho at 15$ a person in 2024 can't complain. Do yourself a favor and hit...
