Arrived this week for a wedding. Bride gave us 3 choices for a hotel and we went with this one as there was a pool for my little nephew.||Were given 2 ground floor rooms with parking outside which was convenient to unload the cars. There is also an inside door which leads to the pool and restaurant which was a nice feature. Luckily a hot breakfast is included.||Rooms smelt so bad; musty, damp. Sprayed so much perfume and then just became nose blind. I did address the smell at the front desk and was told its just an old motel. My nephew with asthma had a hard time with the smell.||Some outlets didnt work. Only one of the two lamps worked and there is no ceiling light. My sisters ||You have to go to the front desk to check into the pool prior to each swim which is quite the walk and inconvience.||Rooms are very plain, furniture is all scratched up. There was garbage in the night table drawers. ||My sisters room had an air conditioner that kicked on and off. ||Internet was non existent. Called the front desk and said she would look into it. None of them seemed to work for longer than 20 mins or so.||Fridges barely keep anything cold|||I would suggest trying the amsterdam inn and hope u get better...
Read more1 day AC vents full of dirt. no plugs for guests unless they unplug something else by moving fridge. Lots of flies. trim all chipped up & could use some paint.Door had new handle that didn't cover hole. It really needed new door. Door dirty with hand prints. Removed dead bug smeared on door. Stained carpets The 2 day we were moved to a different room. This room was worse. The AC sounded like a coffee maker. Couldn't use much as it was noisy & had to turn tv very loud to hear. Lots of flies again. Spent more time killing them than relaxing. The screen on the window was bent away from the window. So no change keeping them out. The rubber under the window was hanging down loose. No plugs again. Had to unplug micro & move fridge ever time we needed to use a plug. Carpet stained. No info where to get ice.WiFi up & down. Down most of the time.Picked a staple out on the carpet that kept hurting my foot. No ashtray in room & took 20 mins to get 1 from office. When coming back to room noticed the next room had a large pop bottle to hold window open. Guess I was lucky there. I have stayed at motels $60 cheaper & had better. Had to go every morning to collect breakfast coupons. Had to do that...
Read moreWe landed at the Fairway Inn due to a basketball tournament. In case anyone is reading this who stayed on 12-14-2024 – it was probably our kids running up the hallways and I do apologize.||Upon arrival we were prepared for a dated hotel based off of previous reviews. It was. We were stayed on the second floor and it seemed most rooms on the 1st floor had flat screen tv’s – ours was a tube. Kids loved it – they were impressed hearing a tube tv turn on and suck in all the static from the room. I would say we had about 10 kids sitting on the floor watching a tube tv – it kept them quiet for 45 mins.||The only negative remark we had was the smell of the room – it smelled like you opened your grandmothers’ closet – the wife went out and bought a candle, problem solved. Other than the smell (in our room) – the room was clean. It does lack USB ports so be prepared!||There was no continental breakfast but at that price – I wouldn’t expect there to be. |At the end of the day, it was a hotel in Sussex, not downtown Moncton – for the price, services, hospitality – it did the trick. I think the staff did their absolute finest being able to keep existing guests and two basketball...
