North Hatley Suites — Hotel in North Hatley

Worst place ever stayed considering all the countries I've visited.

We were threatened, intimidated and kicked out by the host. All because I complained and requested fair compensation for something I paid for in advance, a property that was advertised in Booking.com as having 2 separate bedrooms + living room, when there is only 1 bedroom and the the second in the living room close to the entrance door.

Note that Booking.com couldn't do much, only a partial refund for the night we didn't stay as we were kicked out.

Pros Spacious Bathroom and towels

Cons After asking for compensation, the Host ended-up threating us and kicked us out. The Host sent people 5-6 times to intimidate us to get us out, and they kept knocking the door. The Host kept saying the Police was coming. The maid (who was aggressive and intimidating) sent by the Host kept saying that we had to leave, that the Police was coming and tried to enter the property by forcing the door. The Host called my mobile phone 29 times in the a 3-hour span. The Host left 10 voice messages, where the first 4 he was clearly drunk Dirty kitchen cabinets, dishes, utensils and fridge.

I've never seen this my entire life, and it's still astonishing to remember that this...

I am sorry to write this review. We booked the apt for two nights and told about our eta (1400). The apt was not ready yet at that time. That is ok. North Hatley is a nice, small village, so you can do things beside waiting. After a few hours, we asked Fred (after we found him as the cell number did not work) about the apt and it was still not done. It also did not seem to be done/ready soon. We felt unwelcome by Fred and the way he communicated (rude) with us and decided to get reimbursed and stay a somewhere else. I hope he treats his future guests less rude/better...

After we booked the hotel and everything, we got a text saying they were full. When we called as the text seemed suspicious, the gentleman was impolite and stated there was nothing he could do and he had to go. Why show there is availability on multiple websites if there isn’t?

Edit: After posting the original review, I got a phone call from this establishment (I couldn’t answer) and got the second message...
