My husband and I had an amazing weekend here, away from the hussle and bussle of our 4 kids busy weekend activity schedules. We arrived just before 8pm, as we made a visit to Scandinave on our way up. A quick text to the staff and they met us promptly in the parking lot to bring us and our bags to our dome. The staff are all so friendly and made it known that they were there to help with whatever you need (even dumping the humidifier bucket, or starting your fire - which of course we did ourselves).

The large dome is spectacular. Clean, modern with great design. A comfortable bed. Heated blankets and extra heater and fan if needed. The staples of coffee/tea/cooking oil are there as well as a fully stocked kitchen. There is wood and a cooking grate out by the fire.

We ordered food from the eclectic cafe. It was good and really convienient but small portions of mains and supersize portions of dessert.

We used the sauna once the morning of the departure. It hadn’t been used the hour before and took about 30 min to get to heat so keep that in mind if you have a slot booked with people after you. Luckily nobody was after us so we stayed longer.

The hiking was beautiful at this time of year. Really hilly. We went off the beaten path and found our way to the Coulson Swamp Trail which was an easy 2km hike and found our way back to resort property easier than we imagined.

This was a memorable first glamping experience but it won’t be our last! We would love to check out the other seasons, hire the Chef to come to cook, and try the horseback riding experience. Thank you Glen Oro!

PS we also did Vetta Spa, which isn’t the same relaxing atmosphere as Scandinave. It was nice to try, but we would have rathered staying on resort and mimicking the experience in the stillness of the...

We stayed in one of their stargazing domes and loved it! The design of the dome was incredible and the loft bedroom was so amazing! Keep in mind you have to climb a ladder to get to the bed! But Glen Oro went above and beyond for preparation in our dome: want to go hiking? They put in bug spray! Top of the dome too bright in the morning? They put in eye masks! Want to set up a fire? They have everything you need for one! These little touches went above and beyond for hospitality for us. Now we stayed up until 1am to try to get the darkest sky possible but there was still light pollution; but honestly the dome was so neat and we did see plenty of stars! The domes are not completely secluded in the woods so don't expect isolation/complete privacy but we never felt like we were in a fish bowl and it was convenient not to have to trek far for our dome.(Not that we had to trek because the staff escort you whenever you need!) Overall recommend! Also their wedding venue looked so amazing!!!!! And there's horses. Enough said! We were lucky to be there for an event so we got to see jumping and cross country events!

Special shout out to Jessica who was so friendly and welcoming! She got to give us the grand tour and then escort us on...

Glamping at its finest Glen Oro Farm Eco Retreat♡ We absolutely enjoyed our stay at one of the four Galaxygazer Domes. It was a lovely getaway to reconnect with nature🌿 and with each other ^^

We were especially happy to find out that Glen Oro Farm is 💯 mosquitoes and bugs-free bc they spray the entire property with eco-friendly bug repellent✌️ It makes cooking outdoors stress-free!

The staff on site are also very friendly and responsive whenever we need help on something! The private property is HUGE; we enjoyed hiking and exploring the area :)

One con I do have to mention is that the dome is NOT sound-proofed. People can hear EVERYTHING that's going on inside lol. We can hear the wedding party pumping music in the distance as well🙈🙈 . . . By the end of our stay:

✔️ Roasted marshmallows #mustdo ✔️ Hiked up to the Glen Oro Lookout Point to see fall foliage🍁🍂🍃 ✔️ Enjoyed a 5-course blind tasting by Private Chef Paul Laforet @laforet.catering in an open campfire ✔️ Learned how to start a fire in less than a minute (obviously with help or starter kits lol) ✔️ Found the perfect spots to prop up my phone for selfies...

Had a truly 5-star luxury experience in the Galaxygazer Dome at Glen Oro Eco-Retreat. Was celebrating my almost peak winter birthday here with friends. The modern mixed rustic feel of this dome is so fitting and the scenary you see outside the dome changes throughout the day and is beautiful through and through. Comes with a full kitchen, bathroom and 2 queen sized beds (I think). The common living area is spacious with comfy chairs and sofa. The place was cleaner than most airbnb and hotels I've been in, very impressed. The only downside is that at night it does get quite cold, despite keeping the fire going and trying to turn the heat up. Wish I had packed a little more clothes but that's my mistake haha. The trip was very serene, relaxing and peaceful; honestly rejuvenating coming from the city. The staff are also responsive through text and were helpful in shuttling us to and from the dome. Unfortunately due to the amount of snow was unable to see any stars but the snowy forest scenary is picturesque. Would definitely come back again, maybe during the fall next time 😊
