This retreat was a dream come true. I surprised my partner with a two night stay as an early anniversary gift. We have never been Glamping before, and we were not disappointed. The stargazer dome had everything we needed, and the views were stunning. I felt like I was in Narnia! I had one of the best sleep ever simply because I was under the stars in the trees. This is a perfect way To be a part of nature without roughing it if that isn’t your comfort zone right now.
Even stepping out of the dome was magical. We were surrounded by beautiful trees, and the sounds of birds and nature everywhere. While you could see other domes and tents in a distance, it felt incredibly private. We loved the nearby fire pit. Our first night we ventured into town to try one of their many incredible restaurants. We went for pizza. The next day we went horseback riding and met Leanne and Diana who were a blast to be with. These women are incredibly passionate about the horses. And it made us want to spend more time with them. I was with Jojo and honestly I couldn’t stop thinking about him even when I went to sleep. He was such a good boy to ride, and I loved every moment with him. Also, this is our first time riding horses through a forest! I’m telling you it’s like being in Narnia! That evening we had chef, Paul cook us a short rib dinner on the fire in front of us outside our dome. This was another first for us. He was an incredible cook, and a great guy to speak to. We had so much in common. It was such a wonderful evening.
I clearly can’t say enough about this place. I really want to come back in the fall. The whole set up is done very well and the service is incredible. Everyone has a smile on their face and is happy to help you with anything. If you’re looking for a Glamping experience or horseback, riding or a unique meal experience. Please check this place out. It is absolutely worth it for special occasions or just for fun. Congratulations to everyone who put...
Read moreI recently spent three nights in the Explorer's Tent, craving a few days of solitude in nature away from the usual noise. There truly aren’t enough words to capture the magic of my experience. The location was easy to find, and I received clear text directions on how to get there and what to do upon arrival. I was even greeted at my car, and staff kindly helped with my bags—a thoughtful touch, especially since I was traveling alone.
From the moment I arrived, I felt a deep sense of peace. The Explorer's Tent exemplifies how camping should be at 35—you still enjoy all the authentic camping vibes but with the added comforts of electricity and a proper bed. My tent provided the perfect warmth, and keeping the fire going was key. I loved waking up to brisk mornings, stoking the fire, and savoring my coffee under a cozy blanket while admiring the beautiful scenery. Although it was winter camping, I was fully prepared for the elements, and everything was just perfect. Each guest has a private firepit with wood and kindling restocked daily, striking the ideal balance between seclusion and community.
As a solo female traveler, I was initially a bit apprehensive, but I felt completely safe and at ease. The staff maintained a level of privacy that is rare to find while remaining readily available to help whenever needed. And the sauna? Absolutely amazing! Booking your time slot allows you to relax in solitude while gazing out over a breathtaking winter wonderland.
As a mom of three and a full-time nursing student, this retreat was exactly what I needed. In a world that feels overwhelmingly heavy right now, reconnecting with nature—and with myself—was a priceless gift. I will definitely be back and will forever recommend Glen Oro Retreat to anyone seeking a rejuvenating escape.

Getting married here on August 3, 2025, was nothing short of a dream. From the moment we first got engaged, we knew this place was going to be “the place”. It’s really something special. Living it as a couple on our wedding day was absolutely surreal. Every inch of Glen Oro feels like magic, and that magic is made even more powerful by the people behind it.
To Luke and Kinga, thank you for creating and sharing this incredible space. What you’ve built holds so much intention, warmth, and beauty. And to the entire Glen Oro staff, you are the heartbeat of this venue. Your attention to detail, your kindness, your tireless effort, it does not go unnoticed.
We’ve had the unique perspective of working events here behind the scenes, setting up, shaking cocktails, lighting fires.
Now, to be on the other side, getting ready with my bridal party in the Tack House, knowing Matt is getting ready with his boys in the Galaxy Dome, doing a first look with the love of my life in the forest, standing at the arbour surrounded by everyone we love, getting a double door entrance to the stunning reception tent, crying during speeches, being handed drinks from fellow bartenders, having our first dances under the stars, and being surrounded by all of you, was emotional and unforgettable.
All of our guests were completely mesmerized by how beautiful and seamless the day was. The compliments were coming from every direction! From the natural beauty of the land to the impeccably curated service, everything felt effortless and elevated. Like we were living in a fairytale, but grounded in something deeply personal and real.
Glen Oro isn’t just a wedding venue, it’s an experience. One that stays with you and your guests long after the night ends. We are endlessly grateful to be a small part of the magic that lives there.
With so much love, Mel &...
