Our family stayed here for one night and unfortunately for the price of this campground, I would not recommend. The site itself was large, but not maintained and covered with broken glass from a broken trailer window - completely unsafe. There was a ton of garbage - broken toys, cigarette butts, an old towel, strewn around the site. It was nice that the site had a concrete/brick patio but it was overrun with weeds making it mostly useless. Overflowing garbage cans throughout the park, dirty bathrooms (and not enough bathrooms for the volume of guests - in particular the new area at the back of the camp does not have its own shower/bathroom block) makes it feel like staff just don’t care. General maintenance and cleanliness of the pool, washrooms and buildings are lacking as well. It feels like this was once a nice place but has been seriously let go. Photos attached are of the main building/pool and broken glass on the site. The structural integrity of the main building is questionable at best and in need of serious repairs. The park was nice for the kids, but it’s really hard to find positive feedback for this campground unfortunately. Update August 16, 2025: After posting our review, we discovered on the online bill that it showed we had been charged for two nights and not one. We called the camp to discuss and were assured that someone would call us back. I’m disappointed because based on the campgrounds original response to my review, and the assurance from staff that someone would call us, I was hoping to provide a follow up to our experience that was positive. Unfortunately, instead of a phone call back we received the email below, reprimanding us for our ‘claim’ that we had been billed two nights and for posting a negative public review. To be clear, we were not asking for a refund - just hoping that they could offer a call back with some opportunity to rectify the situation as they had stated in their post. Luckily, we were only charged for the one night, however, the online booking does display it as two nights which was our cause for concern. Very disappointing customer service in addition to the already poor experience. ———— Thank you for your email and for sharing your concerns regarding your stay at Heidi’s Campground on August 2nd. We have reviewed our records carefully and can confirm that you were charged for one night only and not the 2 nights you claimed. We understand you had concerns about the site assigned and the conditions you described, and we apologize for any inconvenience this caused. We work hard to maintain a safe and welcoming campground, and your comments have been shared with our staff to ensure improvements continue to be made. We also would have appreciated the opportunity to address your dissatisfaction during or immediately after your stay, before a public review was posted. This would have allowed us to make things right directly with you. Given that your stay was completed and services were provided, however, we do not find a refund appropriate at this time. We value all feedback, as it helps us improve for future guests, and we appreciate you taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention. Andy Buechin Heidi’s Campground

We stayed at Heidi's for our very first glamping trip. Check in was seamless and backing into our site was no trouble. Site had hydro/water/sewer. We stayed close to end of season so the weekday was quiet and picked up Friday night. Our girls loved biking around on the paved roads and swimming in the indoor pool. Pool was chilly but the hot tub was definitely hot and the jets were awesome. The playground is quite large and has things for small and larger children to play on. Dog park onsite was handy too. They had bingo for adults and for the kids which was fun and some great prizes to be won. They even had someone doing air brush tattoos for the kids on the Saturday. There is a general store on site but also one down the road in Hawkstone with an LCBO if needed. You can hear the traffic noise from Hwy 11 if your windows are open at night and bathrooms are a bit dated but not something we fuss over. Overall we enjoyed our stay and may very well be back.

This was a great place to camp. Staff was super friendly and the amenities were great. The indoor pool was a little odd for a campground but it worked well and was refreshing on a hot day. The dog park is fantastic, lots stuff for kids to do from playground, to basketball court, biking and trails. The direct sewer access is super convinient and every site has paved slab/interlocking brick and a nice fire pit. Only cons about our area was that our site was a little small and the sites are crammed together pretty tight. The grounds and amenities are a little dated and could use some updating. The pros definatley outweigh the cons and this place is great value for your camping money.

I was just at Heidi's Campgrounds over the long weekend. I met a lot of very pleasant staff members while on site. I thought the campgrounds where we were was very well maintained. I loved that my site was pull through as well as full hook up. The washrooms were kept very clean. The pool area was a little humid for my liking but it was hot outside. Could use some ventilation i.e. open windows and fans. It was very easy to get in and out of this campground which was awesome as it was my first time travelling with our new to us Travel Trailer and I was a little nervous. There was a nice size playground for the kids and a couple other fun activities while we were there... bingo, crafts and movie night. There is only 3 things stopping me from a 5 star review..... 1: Not much for the kids to do was expecting a little more planned activities especially on a long weekend.... 2: The permanent area that is closer to the gates and the garbage drop off... some of the sites had a lot of garbage and looked like some people were hoarding stuff and not taking care of their sites.....3: The kids driving the golf carts and electric scooters with no helmets. These kids were going well over the 10km/hr speed limit at one point my daughter was riding on her bike and was almost taken out by what seemed to be a 10 year old driving a golf cart.... Again we had a awesome first time here and want to thank you...

We arrived at the park and were treated with respect and kindness from all employees. We came with a trailer and 2 tents. All staff was aware of our circumstances residing here regarding the tents. 2 nights ago we were approached by an elderly man who questioned why we had tents here and we told him we paid for the site not only one but previously moved from another and had no issue. He clearly did. The following morning we were served with a letter stating that we had to leave the park and weren’t even able to move sites even if we paid in advance. Upon arriving here no staff let us no tents were not allowed. We were served with a letter stating we had to leave within the hour and never allowed to return again. Threatening if we didn’t they would contact the local authorities under the trespass to property act R.S.O 1990, c. T.21. The employees here are great but the owner and his family are damn shame. I highly recommend you ask all questions and make sure you’re able to do anything at all. We had a campsite beside us partying till 3am with 11 complaints from other campers and they never received any sort of notification. This is a biased camp site. I do not recommend you come here, your better off going g to a provincial park or orillia emails...
