I highly do NOT recommend this hotel, my husband and I booked 9 days here at the beginning of July and our stay was absolutely terrible.
Our stay started off with being charged for the original 9 days we booked and also being charged full price for each day we were there. I had to continuously check my credit card and talk with the supervisor. After about 3 days in they refunded me the overcharged amount.
After the refund they sent me an email that another charge for smoking was being added, even though my husband and i were not smoking in the room. I was so done with them at this point, it felt like they were just going to make up random charges. The smell was from the festival that we attended but they didnt beleive us anyways.
The entire stay we had a "Do not Disturb" on our room door and I was told that a staff member entered my room and was taking pictures of my belongings while I was away. So they were going to keep the smoking charge on my card. I can own a vape and not smoke in the room, and to have a staff member enter a room and take pictures without my consent and a "Do not disturb" on my door was a huge invasion of my privacy.
The exact next day that one of the staff members entered my room and took pictures, my truck was stolen from the hotel parking lot. The supervisor notified us that conviently the only cameras pointing in the direction of my vehicle had suddenly stopped working. So there was no footage and even if there was they apparently had no access to them.
While we were struggling dealing with the loss of our only transportation home, our credit card was charged yet again by the hotel for another night. I couldn't beleive how poorly we were treated here.
After this nightmare of a stay I highly recommend not staying at this location unless you are comfortable being charged triple the amount of your stay, getting random charges on your credit card, having someone sneak into your room and take picture of your belongings and have your vehicle stolen from the property!
** I'm still waiting for 1509.62 of random charges to be refunded, and I have been checked out of the hotel for...
Read moreI recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Quebec Resort from Aug28 to Aug29 and overall, I truly enjoyed the experience. The warm chocolate cookies, complimentary hot spa and sauna, and the incredibly comfortable bed made my stay memorable. Unfortunately, one serious service issue left me very disappointed and impacted my trip.
When I went to take a shower, I found that both the shower gel and shampoo bottles were completely empty. This indicated that the bottles had not been refilled, which I can understand may happen occasionally. I immediately contacted the front desk to request replacements, but was told I would need to come down myself. I asked my friend to assist, and he was assured that someone would be sent to our room to address it.
However, despite waiting in the shower for over 30 minutes, no one arrived. We had to make multiple requests, and when someone finally came, they mistakenly brought a shampoo and a body lotion instead of shower gel. Eventually, my friend had to go out again and returned with shower gel poured into a cup. By then, I had already been delayed for a long time, standing and waiting during what should have been a quick shower.
This unnecessary delay affected the rest of my day — I still had to complete my skincare routine, dry my hair, and get ready. As a result, I checked out late. At the front desk, I was initially asked to pay a late checkout fee, which only added to my frustration. Thankfully, after I explained the situation, the fee was waived.
What should have been a perfect stay was unfortunately overshadowed by poor service and lack of responsiveness to such a simple request. I ended up late for my lunch reservation. The restaurant cancelled my reservation. Not to mention I missed some planned attractions.
I hope you will review this matter with your staff so future guests will not face the same experience. I value Hilton hotels and would like to continue staying with your brand, but I kindly request acknowledgment of this complaint and, if possible, a goodwill gesture to make up for the inconvenience.
Thank you for your attention to...
Read moreI’m very picky about making a reservation and hotels with a decent enough gym. I was sceptical to reserve at the Doubletree because I saw two types of images for the gym. I was assured over the phone about their recent makeover and decided to place my reservation based on that. I decided to take pictures of my own, as well as a video to demonstrate, how they made a very good choice with renovating the space. I could make the recommendation of adding an extra bench as well as extra mats for stretching on the floor. However, they have decent size weights, and machines to run a complete workout. Lia and I were quite impressed on how quiet the rooms were. The next day we noticed how the hotel closes off the access to the hallways which reassured us from a security standpoint as well as soundproofing. The breakfast was included with our reservation. The restaurant has a very good selection of fruits, yogurt, bread, Greek yogurt, and your typical buffet with eggs, bacon, sausages, breakfast potatoes, and beans. The hotel has roughly 4 or five levels with lots of parking all around. The gym, the pool and spa are located on the lower floor. There’s a heated pool outside plus a sauna. We love receiving the warm, chocolate chip cookie upon arrival, every staff member we discuss with were very kind and caring. They used to have dry cleaning service. However, when we visited, it seemed as though they were in transition for another company. Hopefully the next time we visit they will have a dry cleaning...
