What truly sets BaseCamp Resorts apart from any other, is their commitment to go the extra mile not only for their Guests but for their staff. They consistently prioritize their employees' needs and make sure that they have all the necessary resources and tools to excel in their roles. Whether it's providing additional training opportunities, offering flexible work arrangements, or recognizing outstanding performance, they continually find ways to help their employees thrive.
It is evident that this employer genuinely values their employees not just as workers, but as individuals with lives outside of the workplace. They consistently encourage work-life balance and make efforts to ensure that their staff's personal well-being is prioritized.
One incident, in particular, stands out to me as a testament to their dedication to their staff. Recently, my daughter went through a personal tragic incident that has affected her ability to continue to work for a period of time. Instead of being met with negative judgment or indifference, she was met with empathy, compassion, and understanding. These gestures truly made a world of difference to her, enabling her to navigate through a difficult time.
From day one, it was evident that this employer truly cares about the well-being and success of their employees. The management team at BaseCamp Resorts Revelstoke took the time to truly understand the situation and offer meaningful support in anyway they could. They have created an inclusive and supportive work environment, where everyone feels valued and appreciated. It is a pleasure to witness the positive impact this has had on my daughter's professional growth and overall happiness and healing.
It is also important to mention that while BaseCamp Resorts Revelstoke has shown exemplary care towards their employees, they have not neglected their customers in any way. Their dedication to providing exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction hasn't wavered at anytime. This is a testament to their professionalism and ability to balance the needs of both their employees and customers.
In summary, I highly commend BaseCamp Resorts Revelstoke for their exceptional support and care towards my daughter during a challenging period in her life. Their willingness to go above and beyond in providing assistance, their genuine concern for their employees' well-being, and their unwavering commitment to their customers make them an outstanding employer. I have the utmost respect and gratitude for BaseCamp Resorts Revelstoke and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of...
Read moreA friend and I have stayed at this hotel under the old management and name, Days Inn, for years. We would go to Revy to Mountain Bike in the fall and really like the location, complimentary breakfast and that they had and card swipe access to the hotel and rooms. When My family and I were planning a ski week in BC for family Day 2024, I found out there was new management but we felt it was a good choice of accommodations, unfortunately, now I feel bad for suggesting this hotel. I called out before booking to see if the breakfast was still included as the booking didn't show it. The man who answered snapped that there was no breakfast, it was new management. When we were travelling to the hotel my wife received the virtual check in, seemed like a decent way to go. We parked and went up a back stair case that Ron and I would use to take bags and bikes in as it was very convenient. The swipe pad was in place and door locked so my wife wen to the front desk for a card. The kids and I finished un-loading our bags to the landing and I went to open the door. I found out they have removed all swipe pads but that one, yet the door was locked. Once in the room I first noticed a dirty rug but being very late I was not about to call down. We looked for a WIFI password, unsuccessful I went for a walk tot eh front desk where I was told, "I think it is ABCD1234". As the days went by the lack of vacuuming the rug became more apparent but the loose toilet was definitely more frustrating. Although seeing strangers hair in the tub was less than ideal. Empty beer cans on and around the property was a common site, I never saw a housekeeping person or any staff member for that matter, other than when I went for the password. So I can say that the room price was reasonable for what you got but I will be hesitant to stay or ever recommend a Base Camp accommodation.
September, 2024 update. After seeing Basecamps response I hesitantly called them to see how they were going to re-gain my business. After several emails and a few calls, I was offered the standard 10% off for returning customers. Nothing special to show they were sorry for our experience. As a result I told the manager, who called, that was not acceptable and I would continue using the other accommodations I have been using this summer. Obviously it is not that important to them if they could not offer something other than a standard discount for...
Read moreThe staff was amazing. Super helpful and friendly. Their hand soap and lotion were amazing!! We bought some of their lotion!! The kitchen was gorgeous!! The bed extremely comfortable!!!! I do love that you don't need a credit card to book the room. You can use debit or cash for deposit!! The view of the mountains and river are great except the undeveloped ground outside the rooms. I loved that there was a washer/dryer in the suite!!!
The down side .... the parking or should I say lack there of was HORRENDOUS!!!! There should have been more parking PERIOD, but would have been also great to have parking in front of the 3rd building not just the first two. The bathroom was the tiniest ever. The shower was also extremely tiny. They had a shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispenser that was the most annoying thing in the world. It dispensed the TINIEST amount at a time and you LITERALLY had to hit the button atleast 40 times just for barely enough for your needs. The wifi sucked! (Which was mostly ok because we were "unplugging" anyways but when it was needed the wifi was better outside the room and didn't work in the bedroom) It also sucked that there wasn't 24 hour access to the hot tubs. And there was zero cleaning of anything between uses!! The lighting outside was a bit harsh and brutal, you can't star gaze at the massive amounts of stars because there is a constant blaringly brutally bright outside lights everywhere. And considering the aren't doing service of the rooms they could give more than just 2 towels. The water pressure in the shower sucked and there was zero room to move the shower head to pour properly. The fact that it was a raining shower head was...
