Beautiful campground that feels “in the forest” as well as close to town. This is a very bear-aware campground as it’s in the bear corridor so if you aren’t familiar with safety guidelines around food storage and keeping a clean campsite, this isn’t the spot for you!

Adding a map of the site as it’s impossible to find any info on this campground. Note that the camp info building has a washroom and an outdoor washing station (for your dishes and to get fresh water) around the side. Was told that all water is potable on the site which is a plus.

Note that lots of the sites when you pull in have their tent pad on different grade than where the car is parked, so if you’re using a car tent or need direct access to your vehicle, it may not work out.

Wood is kept in the loop which is out of the way for most sites so probably best to pick it up before you park your car for the night. It’s just a huge pile and covered when raining (even tho most of the wood was damp when I arrived late on a rainy night).

Showers are closed right now due to Covid but the accessible washrooms in both buildings have a “hot water” direction on the tap you could use in an emergency.

Went on a hike up to the summit via the Parkway and it was beautiful! At the top there was a board with known bear sightings so you had an idea of what to expect. Lots of things to do...

Canada Tour 2022 - We stayed in Snowforest on our way out to Vancouver and again on the way back to Banff. Both times we had the same site. The sites were very nice and the facilities were all new and clean. The nature trail next to the campground also has some geocaches and there's a kids bike park close by.

Now for the downsides - there isn't a dump station in the campground (you need to go into town to a free dump station). The fire wood isn't stored under a roof and the tarp they use to cover it isn't often put back when people grab wood so the wood is damp. The signage is terrible: for first-timers coming into the campground it was very confusing trying to get the correct lane to properly pull through our site. I wanted to love this place but the newness couldn't overcome our...

We’ve been traveling for 3 weeks in Canada and I think this is my favorite campground.

Making a reservation is probably your best bet, certainly if you want a serviced site.

We didn’t have a reservation but had access to an unserviced site but it didn’t matter for us really.

The campsites are all very clean and large. Showers and toilets are also clean and free. Hot water for the showers as well.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The main thing that I loved is the peace on this campground. It’s not as popular as Banff and Jasper etc. Which makes it much more enjoyable. Revelstoke is also a very nice city with some good food options.

Easy access to Meadows in the sky parkway as well.

We booked 2 more nights after our first one to enjoy this...
