didn’t rate rooms as this is about a dinning experience… I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but the service at this pub was disappointing enough that I feel it needs to be addressed. From the moment I walked in, the server gave me a judgmental look and didn’t even greet me. I was immediately singled out and asked for ID — which I understand — but it was done in a cold, almost hostile way, while no one else at our table was even spoken to. She ignored us for about 10 minutes before returning to take our DRINK order. (which is crazy to me because, all it takes is hey guys what can i grab you to drink? and let me double check ids! ) after she did, it was clear where her attention was: on the guys at the table. She barely acknowledged us girls, despite us clearly being there on a double date. Her attitude toward the guys — flirty looks, little lip bites at the guys, came off as unprofessional and inappropriate. It felt like she was trying to flirt for tips while completely ignoring the fact that we were all there with our partners. It was disrespectful and uncomfortable. She also messed up my food order, blamed the kitchen, and I even said I was fine with it was no problem at all — yet when she came back to check on the table, she said in a rude tone to the entire table. even though no one had complained or was nothing but respectful, “Are you happy now?” which felt like a dig. After that, she avoided us for the rest of the night. As someone who works in hospitality, I’d never treat a table like this — especially when people are clearly out trying to enjoy a date. Basic professionalism and respect were completely lacking. i couldn’t believe the way she addressed things. all it takes is a different friendly approach, anything but the way she went about the night. I hope management takes a closer look at how staff are treating guests. This kind of behaviour doesn’t reflect well on the business at all. especially because the overall food was great, this server ruined the entire overall experience! didn’t catch her name but it was a tall older blonde. too bad because the last time we were here we had a different server and out overall experience was great. food is awesome. service was great. would definitely recommend looking into your staff. this makes or breaks your...

I arrived on a Friday and found that the toilet in the room had not been cleaned. There was poo and pubic hairs on the toilet seat as well as pee. I notified the front desk and they sent the cleaning manager up to see. The manager said he/she cleaned it and gave the cleaning crew a “talking to”. I go back up to the room to find that it wasn’t even touched. The paper wrap was just put back in and that’s it. Pubic hairs in the same position as before. I go down to the front desk with pictures and instead of cleaning it they just gave me a different room.||In Sunday morning a crew member had to change rooms and they gave him the poo room. He checks the toilet and sure enough pubic hairs, pee and poo all still there. He mentioned it to the front desk who said they would deal with it right away. He comes back from work 10 hours later to find it still dirty, so what do they do? Yup, you guessed it. Gave him a different room.||In the days of COVID they mandate masks in the hotel, stand behind glass so you cannot hear them but refuse to clean someone else’s poo and pee off of a toilet...

Biggest downside was, daughter was bit by a dog while here. The front desk said the owner is senile and they've had lots of problems with him and dog but "can't do anything about it". Later talked to the tenant with the dog and he was angry, confrontational and unapologetic. Talked to the front desk again and just said there was nothing they could do. Got no compensation from front desk at all. Very dissapointed in how it was handled. No pool or hot tub but there is a common room where kids can hang out. Rooms were fairly clean but beds are uncomfortable and the shower was poor. Tv was small and remote did not work well. Food was standard pub food, not too bad, fish and chips were not good. Noisy, not enough sound proofing. Currently on our last night here and can hear the next room overs tap running. Not enough carpets at entry way, so it's very slippery coming in.
