I'll start with the positives. Thankfully the air conditioning worked very well as it was 35 degrees celsius so the room was nice and cool. The towels were super soft and absorbent. OK, now that I'm done with the positives let's continue.||This hotel needs to be demolished and something new built. It's very old and smells musty. Funny thing was that they still use actual keys to open the room doors. Not a key card but an actual metal key on a key ring.||- The room floor didn't look like it had been swept for a while and had pieces of something that stuck to my feet so I kept my shoes on most of the time. |- The bed didn't have a comforter/bedspread just a sheet and a thin felt blanket.|- Virtually no insulation so you heard anyone around you walking and talking. I could hear the TV's in other rooms if I didn't have mine on.|- Speaking of the TV, I had to set up the wifi in order to use the TV. There was an instruction sheet on how to connect it but even when I did it would lag so bad it was hard to watch a show so eventually I gave up.|- The wifi was so bad that I couldn't even use my laptop to watch anything so I had a quiet evening.|- Every time I went by the front desk there was never anyone there.||Then to top off this awful stay I had someone from housekeeping unlock my door with their master key at around 9 am without even knocking to see if I was awake. Fortunately I had the chain lock on the door so he didn't just walk in. There weren't any "Do Not Disturb" door hangers to hang on the door knob. Annoyingly someone else from housekeeping came by about 30 minutes later to check again.||All in all this was one of the worst stays I've had at a hotel and I definitely won't...
Read moreIf you want a full experience of getting âgaslightedâ...this is the place for you! I booked over the phone for a wedding weekend where a block of rooms was reserved for wedding guests. I booked a double queen with a kitchenette. Upon arrival I was given a double with a microwave and hotel fridge. Price discrepancy ... so I went back and let him know at the desk. He said I could get a partial refund or change rooms to what I originally booked. Since I had already asked for a broom to sweep out our dirty first room, we opted for the queen room we booked. Didnât make much difference, there was a nasty stain on the wall. It started horizontal and several âlegsâ went south! I donât even want to know what it was! The oven had a âdo not useâ sticker across it! Upon viewing the suite I asked about a coffee maker as the web site said we would get one. Nope! Response was âwhy would you need one when we provide for you?â....ummmm...I went down for âbreakfast the next morning g and was greeted by disgusting coffee, brown bananas on the counter and partial muffin pieces in the fridge. (I really hope I can post the pics I took) When one of my nieces checked in the same day...his comments to her included...âand no bad smell rightâ...really? Thereâs was one person from the wedding g party that was turned away as you told her you were âfullâ, yet half an hour later a walk in golfer showed up and you gave him his pick of rooms! I am astounded places like this still exist. I am dumbfounded people like this think they can pull one over on people! I would sooner sleep in the back of my truck than stay in this...
Read moreSo we got this inn as it was closest to a wedding that we were attending. We came around 1800hrs to check in and no one was manning the desk. After 20 mins of waiting, calling the hotel, calling the number listed on the front desk, the people who ran the place walked in. I assume they went out for dinner. I donât have an issue with people going out for dinner but I think what would have made my experience better is if they had a sign stating they were out and when we would expect them to come back as we had a wedding rehearsal that we were almost late for because of this. When the couple walked in, there was no acknowledgment of them being absent. We received keys to our room and on the first floor, you can access the room from the inside and outside. No dead bolts but the door automatically locks from the outside and there is a chain. I had trouble opening the door from the outside. Took many tries. The room itself was alright. It came with a table, a microwave, and fridge. The were only two plug ins. The bathroom toilet paper roll was empty upon arriving and they had a full toilet paper roll on top of the toilet. The beds seemed clean enough. Smelled like an old hotel room. Could use some airing. It had an air conditioner. While we were waiting for service there didnât seem to be any workers at the restaurant or the lounge to help as well. I think in the end it was an alright experience given the limited choices. They did do housecleaning daily...
