Beautiful part of the beach at the South end of the Provincial Park. Very fine powder sand throughout the property, really gives off that beach vibe. Stayed in cottage #6 over the weekend. Amazing lake view from the deck, perfect for those early coffe moments. The cottage is very well maintained and it is of good size. Rooms are small but the living room is where you wanna be outside of sleeping. Cottage had all the ammenities you could want for short or long stays. Location is wonderful. You can take long walks on the beach, walk through the park and see funny people cramped like sardines on a hot day. Who can blame them, the beach is awesome the water shallow and super warm for the better part of summer. About 15 minute walk to the Wasaga strip. You can still buy an ice cream, have a beer or stock up on your adult favourites as LCBO and Beerstore are super close. Thank you Sandpiper Beach Resort for having us. It was a blast!

Absolutely the best location we could have hoped for! Cabins are clean and stocked with everything you would need to stay. Private tables and BBQ are great, but the best thing is the proximity to the beach and convenience when you are staying with kids....if you need something it's a 2 minute walk back to your cabin. The beach is not crowded, nice shallow water great for relaxing and playing with the kids. It was easy to check in virtually, communication was great and response time instant if we needed anything. Can't wait to come back!! 👍👍

Stayed 4 nights, July 2024, in cottage #2 and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Very basic cottage with a fabulous view of the beach and spectacular sunsets.

My family and I really needed a break this summer following all the covid lockdowns. We were very pleased when we found Sandpiper Resort had a few vacancies for the week we wanted . We rented the cottage with 3 bedrooms that looked directly onto the water 😀 . My brother-in-law also booked the same week and rented a two bedroom just behind ours . Both cottages were ample room for the number of guests we had . 4 in the three bedroom and 3 in the two bedroom . The cottages are quaint and very beach themed . They have all kitchen utensils and pots and pans for cooking , however I brought my own frypan as I’m a stickler for nice over easy eggs in the morning and didn’t want to have to learn a new fry pan , I know that sounds weird but either way the pots and pans were suitable for all our cooking needs . BBQ were provided with propane , my suggestion is to bring tinfoil as I like to cover the grill before cooking . The bedrooms were adequate in size , we did have one issue with a broken box spring , but it was fixed immediately after reporting it to the booking agent Susan . Btw she is great with responding to texts and questions in a timely and professional manner . My family loved our stay on this property , there are multiple cottages available for rent , we will defiantly stay at Sandpiper Resort in the future . You can’t go wrong with this resort as you are close proximity to all amenities yet are secluded enough from the Hustle and bustle to simply relax by the water all day with minimal distractions except for watching the sunset , you can’t...

Terrible Experience: After planning a graduation trip for June 2020, we had put down a deposit in November 2019. As NO one could have predicted, Covid 19 prevented us from being able to have 89 students (as the contract stated) to stay at the 12 cottages that were to be provided. Sandpiper not only was unreasonable but the service was beyond awful. Dealing with them was the worst experience of my life, as they took an approach like no other. Updating their website to 'No Refunds' after covid 19 took off and offering no part of a refund they were greedy and self serving. The owners did not communicate with us as we had to contact them, and they are now claiming that offered us options that 'we refused'. Options provided were that they would have us 'cut out' 30 people from our stay, (these are 30 students which have already paid their first deposit) or they would credit us for a stay which they don't know when would happen or when would be safe to do so. Many other schools were given a full refund with different resorts in Wasaga Beach, where as Sandpiper Beach decided to keep the full $8900 deposit that was put down for our stay. This deposit was kept when at the end of the day they could not uphold the contract originally agreed upon. Understandable that circumstances were different but in no way was this the right approach to handle the situation. It is not the problem of 89 students to support a business which is obviously poorly run and disgusting to deal with. To anyone planning a grad trip, you can find...

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Due to the lack of professionalism i would refrain from booking with this specific company. The year 2020 has been a train wreck for everyone, not just students but many companies. Everyone has been financially affected!! It is understandable that a company would choose to not return the deposits....if their was valid reasoning behind their arguments. When the organizer of our trip tried to reason with the person in charge of booking she was very unprofessional. I first hand witnessed the lady screaming at 17 year olds through the phone! Some of the lady’s reasonings to not give us a refund included her having to pay the staff for cleaning the cabins etc. Since we cancelled fairly early on, the staff would not even been paid for that. The lady did offer us a credit to be used in the future but we are part of a graduating class which includes 90 students who are going separate ways, when will we have the opportunity to attend wasaga again? She also used unreliable resources to try and say that her cottages would follow public health guides, which they would not!!! At this point it’s not even about the money, We as a class have been handed devastating cards, with disappointment after disappointment this was NOT something we wanted/ needed...
