Pretty Awesome area for picnics and family day outs. Parking gets bit trickier. I would recommend the Ontario Parks designated parking area compared to Muncipal controlled area. Ontario side has plenty of large trees with Benches. It will tranquilize your day on a hot soaring day. You can park at Onatrio Park side for $21 a day while Muncipal parking side got $20 a day or you can park at Mosley Steeet on a $15/$10 a day parking lot and walk (If you are not carrying much and if you dont like to pay extra). Now (Aftermath of Covid) you can also BBQ. However, it is very tricky for Less Able People (hate the word 'disabled') people to get around the beach as it is not very accessible at this part...

Beach area 2 is one of the parts of Wasaga beach that families can enjoy. Especially when you have young children. This area has less young adults running, playing and doing the stuff they do. Therefore its less worry for parents knowing that their kids will not get knocked down by a young adult running behind a ball. Less noise and less happening compared to the main area. Which is good for my family. Beach and the water is clean. Less to no insects. There are lot of benches. Because of the recent increased water levels beach area has become bit smaller. Water is shallow and can walk into the water for good 20-30meters. This was my second visit to area 2 and I will go...

Loved beach area 2. I went to this beach 20 years ago and loved it. This year, July 2019, the water levels were very high so the beach area was only 20 feet deep. Other than that the ambience was still amazing since there were lots of people later in the day. Still loved it very much. Get there early, before 8 am to secure a good spot. Take a canopy or parasol with you for shade. It may get bright and hot. I recommended taking food and drinks with you not because the stores are expensive but because the lineups and wait times can be long. Do spend some money on the shops/food to support the local economy. Kayak and paddle boat...

Wasaga Beach Area 2 in Ontario offers a family-friendly ambiance with clean, inviting waters. However, the experience was hindered by the non-functional washroom door lock, causing inconvenience. The beach's popularity led to significant overcrowding, coupled with a notable presence of bees, disrupting the tranquility of meals. Despite these setbacks, the overall beach quality remains commendable. For those seeking a quieter and bee-free environment, I recommend considering Allenwood Beach, conveniently located in the same area. It provides similar amenities without the bustling crowds and bee-related disturbances, making it a preferable alternative.

Wasega Beach has been our go to beach since last 20 years. A lot has changed since the crowd, the water quality etc but the beach is not to blame for it. My daughter love beaches and anytime we want to go to once without having to drive too much far away we go to Wasega. The funnel cake place hold a special memory but that place is no more there. All in all decent place to picnic if you can go early and secure better spot. Washrooms are ok not the cleanest. There are lots of shops to shop around. Just little too crowded that’s all. And yah don’t forget to get your day permit

Loved every sec of my stay. Went on a week day so it was not crowded. Only problem is no shower access due to covid.....understandable but does not make it any better to drive home with beach water drying on you. But overall experience here is outstanding. Staff at parking, very helpful and polite. I had to change beaches untill I got to beach two which I liked. Water is high though.
