Nacho is an enthusiastic host, but everything is about him and it was a little overwhelming/uncomfortable at times. A lot of reviews here talk about how great the firepit was, but for us wood was “limited” - it was incredibly cold but we were told that we could only have fire at night and very little of it since there was a lack of wood, despite us clearly seeing that his woodshed was full! He was helpful when we were trying to arrange transport to our next stop and kind with advice, but overall it was not the great experince that we thought based on the reviews we’d read.
We were also quite frustrated that a beds are advertised, however he rents these out separately to fishing guests and they are clearly prioritised - there was one person staying in a dorm room, however we were told the other beds (7 spare we think) were not available. In general I wouldn’t recommend solo female travellers to stay here.
Also, we stayed in a completely seperate group to the below review, but the experience was...

If your visit if less than 2 hours I would get oriented at the Main Building where you will find Bath Rooms, Maps, Forest Rangers and stuffed animals like a giant Condor. The path along the river is easy and gives you a sense of what is available throughout your walk. It is not paved and can get muddy if wet. We were told to watch out for pumas and not travel alone into the forest. Always good advice. There was a small fee to enter...
Read moreSandra and Nacho have made a gem of a campsite. One of the nicest campsites we have stayed so far in Chile. Very laid back place with great views to the mountains. The river is great to hang out at for an afternoon and easy walk to a small shop. The owner and his wife are friendly warm-hearted and enjoy playing guitar for the campers and have a fire pit at night in the building for when it rains or when cold. The lady baked us bloody nice bread. Some of the cleanest nicest showers and toilets we have seen in campsites in Chile. Grass is soft to camp on and there's parking for the motorcycles. Definitely a...
