This slightly, outside Chile Chico located, lodge is a remarkable treasure for the never tired traveler. Driving up to the pathway to the main building gives you the surprising feeling of entering a historical museum. On the one hand you find a stranded ship, which proves to have decades of history behind her, on the other hand you will find a collection of a range of old lorries, stripped of the essentials to get them back on the road. Drifting through the garden you are welcomed by curious young playing cats and a variety of chickens.||The reception as well as the dining room contain a wide collection of historical items bringing back precious memories of glorious past. I could not remember the function of some of them, while others gave me flashbacks of my mother preparing traditional meals in her cozy kitchen.||Our bedroom was clean, comfortable and had a good bed, while the bathroom was equipped with all the necessary utensils to get you started for the day. We had a bedroom overlooking the garden with a private bathroom, but some rooms share their facilities. So you it is up to you to order it if you want it.||Breakfast is a part of the arrangement and you can choose from a variety of breads, tea, coffee and marmalades. If you also want to have diner, fairly basic though, but at a reasonable price, let the receptionist know in advance. The owner has some experiments running in brewing his own beer and it is worth trying it out.||On the whole a nice and comfortable stopover on our way to the heart of the Aysen area:...
Read moreI spent one night in this lovely place, plenty of old historical artifacts from a farming past. Owners and the lady at the reception were both gentle. The dining room was lovely, the food great and the beers (regionals) just fantastic. The surrounding was nice but need some order: it can be seen a huge container, many garbage bins and the remains of old trucks that can be partially restored for the visitors can see some of the old time vehicles. After three days camping at Jeinimeni National Reserve, I needed a shower, and I did it, but with cold water! because the water heater had some malfunction. The room was very clean and so was the bathroom. When the night came I checked the bed wich had clean sheets. On the other hand I started to look at the room in general, and I saw many spiders: smalls, big ones, long legged ones or short legged. A nightmare for an aracnophobic like me. After I get rid of this creepy eight legged friends, I started to check every corner, under the bed, under and behind furnitures finding nothing else. What a relief! They should try to use some insecticide to eliminate undesirable guests. During the checking I saw two huge and perfect mushrooms next to the radiator pipes. Well, apart from this it was a nice place to stay, silent, the price was fair, and was a short hike away from downtown...
