The only difference is you experience it while you are alive... ||||In a such remote and rural area like puerto guadal; providing such a service is an extraordinary efforts and logistic matter. Nobody can deny that there is a huge team work behind it. In every single step of the operation was remarkable. Six adults and six kids (all under age of 9) spent a week at Pared Sur in late December. The setting is beautiful - we stayed in two cabins and two domos. Pablo and his staff were terrific, tailoring some of the excursions to be kid-friendly while also still giving the adults a real Patagonian experience. Arturo was a constant help for both the adults and kids, and Pilar leading the kitchen did a fantastic job along with her team of accommodating the kids' limited diets and earlier schedules. ||||The facilities are great - upscale rustic is an apt description. Food was consistently good and the pisco sours were strong! The three brothers-in-law on our trip (including myself) were able to get a day off from parenting to do the Glacier Calluqueo trek. This was incredible. I live in Seattle and grew up in the pacific nw, and while it is beautiful nothing there compares to the overall majesty of northern patagonia. ||||Yes, it is spendy to do the all-inclusive option we chose, but for a group like ours it was well worth it to not have to worry about driving anywhere and to have our excursions and meals all taken care of so we could just focus on the experience and our kids. Read moreWe spent 5 nights at this delightful camp in Patagonia. We arrived after a long bus ride and settled into a clean, comfortable cabin with a view of the Lago Gral Carrera, a spectacular blue lake. We had a lovely tile bath with a view too! After a great hike to get moving after our trip, we had a delicious dinner in the dining room. Food was homemade and very good with Chilean wine. |We had breakfast and dinner each night as a group. The women who prepared our meals were so friendly and such good cooks. Everything was prepared on site and fresh and delicious.
