Hospedaje Mirella — Hotel in Dalcahue

This was not the perfect evening to arrive and share some experience with the owner which was busy with a barbecue celebration.||It was fun to see and talk with some of her friends but we haven't been able to share as much as we expected. It still remains a great experience to see the local way of the barbecue.||Confortable rooms, clean. Bathroom clean too even if without windows, hot water enough for 2 people, no more.||Her son lift us by boat to Isla Mechuque for 30.000 pesos. If you manage to find a local boat instead of renting a private one for you, it'll be cheaper :2.500 pesos per person. It worth asking around at the town but it always change, not sure there is regular liaison.||Tenaun has a lovely charm of old lost village. Very nice church. Really appreciate my time there||There are two different hospedaje: One called Maria on the road of the cementery from the main place. And one you could find in front of the sea on the left road when you arrive at the main place.||There is no restaurant. Cada vez que había venido escribía para recomendar su cocina, su sencillez y calidez. Ahora viajamos más de una hora para repetir la experiencia y de verdad, no valió la pena. Lo mejor el pan y el vino o lo único auténtico. Pedimos la rica centolla de la zona. Fue servida dudosamente muy fría , en una porción de degustación y sobre un gran cama de CEBOLLA MORADA. Irrepetible. Además pedimos un ceviche de pulpo. Nos llegó sin que se nos advirtiera, un ceviche de cochayuyo (alga marina) que no nos gusta demasiado , con algunos trozos de pulpo duro y escasos. Pensando que algo podía estar como antes, pedimos un salmón, el que se nos dijo que venía con papas nativas y ensalada. La presentación del plató en mi opinión es horrenda. Un plato ovalado y pequeño con una cama de papás, tomates chery lechuga y pepino sobre la cual descansaba un trozo de buen preparado salmón. La estructura del plató dificulta su comida. Es difícil partir el salmón sin que su gran cana salga disparada. Las papas me parecieron recalentadas Si quieren hacerlo deben agrandar los platos. Sería mejor que ofrecieran el salmón y uno elija Es una lástima, pero en mi opinión no vale la pena volver. Es caro cuando los platos son abultados con algas o cebolla que no se anuncia . Les hizo mal el crecimiento, aunque hay público que disfruta. Además no hay carta,, por la pandemia supongo, Recomiendo que quienes atienden, al ofrecer, digan exactamente lo qué contiene el plató (como el ceviche de cochayuyo que ademas estaba pésimo en su aliño y temperatura? e informen los precios. Mirella was a very friendly and warm host. We arrived in Tenaun without any reservations or plans but we knew we wanted to go to the island of Mechuque. She helped arrange a boat trip to the island. As it was the off-season it wasn’t apparent how to do this on our own and no one was around. We heard about Hospedaje Mirella and we walked by looking lost and she invited us in for a coffee and arranged the boat trip for us. We had a nice time talking to her over coffee. She was a blessing!
