Excellent! This place is at the same time a great Italian restaurant, a cozy hotel and a ham and salami factory! All managed by a family of Italian origins who have a strong sense of belonging to Italian culture. With coherence and determination, they offer high quality products following the recipes and traditions of Emilia Romagna, the region of origin of the founders, from which the name "L'Emiliano". Both the restaurant and the rooms are very well looked after, with attention to details. The dishes are very good (we tried various types of stuffed pasta) and abundant, great value for the price. I also recommend the appetizer of meatballs in pomodoro sauce, delicious! My children loved the crescentine with ham pesto. The production of hams includes prosciutto crudo, coppa, culatello, salami. We will certainly visit again at the first...
Read moreIn Chile Capitan Pastene is praised for the amazing Italian food. While this is true there's nothing else to do there. In the night it's quite noisy because of kids that try to be the Chilean Toretto and early in the morning you wake up because of the logging trucks. We wanted to stay at L'Emiliano but they asked 65,000 CLP for a cabana what is approximately $90 and the cabana is nothing special. You can stay in an excellent cabana in Villarica or Pucon for that kind of money and those places have a lot more to offer. The prices in the restaurant are high as well but the food is excellent and that's also the only reason why I'm giving an average rating. If you want to try the food I would recommend that you go to Capitan Pastene for lunch and sleep in a nearby place...

We thought of sharing a plate of pasta so as to save room for dessert, but maybe next time! The very best, here, is to eat at lunchtime, when you can feast freely and then go walking for an hour or so before returning to your cabaña for a nap. ||L'Emiliana's cabañas are comfortable, clean, airy, and well lit. We really like the spacious tiled bathrooms. Fine Italian quality.||Finally, our host, Patricio, is always welcoming, and full of info about what's going on in and around town. He is also multi-lingual. No matter how we progress in our Spanish studies, it's ALWAYS good to be able to converse in our...
