Hotel Mejillones — Hotel in Mejillones

Stayed here unexpectedly for two nights when our booking at a nearby hotel was found to be nonexistent. This place seems to have been refurbished relatively recently but there are still signs of shabbiness. The twin room has two double beds, there were plenty of towels and some fairly small toiletries.||The breakfast was OK, scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt, melon, cereals, bread. Staff were pleasant but none of our credit cards would work. There is a problem with older card readers in Chile as they can’t read the chip and pin on UK cards (the Copec petrol stations are fine,as are most restaurants) which is worth bearing in mind.||The big problem was our room faced onto the street opposite a bar which was extremely noisy till 2 am.||There’s a gated car park and 24 h reception. A nice place to stay in Mejillones. It has both older and renewed rooms. The rooms has air conditioner, TV and WiFi. It has a restaurant with a full view view of the bay on the last floor and breakfast is included. There's also a multimedia and entertainment room to relax and a private meeting room. There's a nearby parking lot to leave the car in the night. They also offer laundry and folding service. The location is one block from the beach and near to local markets, restaurants and gas station. It lacks bilingual service and some rooms still need refactoring, but it's a good service for the money. Recommended accommodation for business and leisure...

Fuimos el fin de semana con mi marido. Es un hotel familiar, cómodo y muy bien ubicado (queda frente al mar). El recepcionista nos recibió muy bien. Nuestra pieza estaba limpia, y tenía una preciosa vista al mar (eso es lo mejor, porque se sienten las olas y el viento marino). La camas impecables con sabanas blancas, lo cual habla muy bien de la higiene del hotel. Las piezas tienen tv cable. ||Yo descansé mucho, el hotel es muy silencioso y la verdad que el único ruido que escuchas es el del mar.||||El desayuno es muy completo, hay de todo para no pasar hambre! Además la administradora es una profesional y espectacular cocinera, por lo que puedes tener la suerte de probar algunas de sus delicatessen para el desayuno.||||Prontamente habrá ascensor, nuevas piezas y estacionamiento privado! Ya quiero probar todas las instalaciones nuevamente.||||Hoy te puedes estacionar en la calle (hay bastante espacio) o en la casa contigua al hotel que es del dueño del mismo hotel.||||Yo lo recomiendo a toda costa, es muy tranquilo, las piezas son cómodas, está...
