The Location
The hostel is located a one block from the center, but still in a walking distance to the beach -- three to five minutes. When you reach the street, shouldn’t be hard to spot the hostel, as it has a sign with "Hostel Moreno" written on it. Pichilemu is not very big but you have everything you need near Moreno Hostel -- grocery stores, supermarkets, and more importantly, "La Casa del Empanadas" among others. If you arrive by bus it is probably a ten to fifteen minute adventure down the road as the terminal is out of the city.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The rooms are private and have enough space for the people we had inside. There is a nice little window in the room to let the breeze in or just sit back on your bed and enjoy the view. Also important, you will have Wi-Fi in the dorms. The bathrooms are nice. I notice in hostels there never seems to be enough bathrooms per guests, but at this hostel I can recall 5 complete bathrooms. In the showers, you will find enough space to put your clothes and your things.
Common Spaces
The hostel’s common spaces are spacious and a lot nicer than the rooms. There is a TV room with sofas and it has a real natural feel and 'wood' theme. These areas are big enough for all the guests and you can find Wi-Fi everywhere. The communal kitchen could be a bit bigger, but it usually doesn’t get too crowded. It has all the utensils you usually need and seems well kept. Another very good part of the hostel is the courtyard -- it's perfect for a cigarette, to catch some sun. The back yard is large enough to accommodate for the many native species of birds you will see in the trees and to hang your washing.

Special mention to the staff: nice, attentive, always willing to help. ||The hostal is conveniently located in the corner of one of the main streets and 3 blocks away from the beach (directly into the canopy ramp). Which is a bit of a trek for surfers´area right in the opposite of the beach (south end).||The rooms downstairs are large, the best ones are #4 (ours) and #5. Good quality towels and linen, free wifi: all great bonuses. ||Just be careful with: regulating the shower (shower early!), finding street parking in front (if you do, leave the car there and just walk) and noise, take your earplugs just in case.||Definitely coming back. ||Note: avoid eating in the fishermen area (overpriced), plan to spend extra time in Cahuil, you will love it and be prepared for many, many , many "ferias" street...
