We booked this as a luxury start to a 2 week driving holiday, to finish an 850km drive from Santiago. However, the place was badly signposted, and we had trouble finding the place. We rang (of course) but staff were next to useless in helping us reach the place. Finally we found it largely due to ignoring staff advice, arriving at about 8:30pm.||||On arrival, we were told that there was no record of our booking (we had paid in full) and were treated with what seemed almost like contempt by a passive aggressive manager who seemed greatly at odds with having to deal with real customers. Finally, and after much ado, we were granted a cabin, which to our horror, was tiny. The beds were dusty, smelled and uncomfortable, and far from being a 5 person cabin, required one of our party to sleep in the living room.||||We were instructed to take our dinner immediately, as the restaurant was due to close at 9pm. We went immediately, to be presented with one of the blandest menus and miserable dining rooms we've seen in some time. The food was mediocre at best and the service matched.||||The baths were not in a great state by this stage - things floating on the top of the water and limited to 2 main pools. Staff told us nothing about the other smaller pools in the ravine below (including a mud bath) until the next day as we were checking out. When we found out that we'd missed most of what was on offer, we really felt cheated.||||Don't stay here - the cabins are terrible and the baths average. The service is really poor and you'll find much better accommodation and hot...
Read moreThe four of our senior citizens booked 8 days (11-18Nov 2014) at the Terma San Luis. The rooms were very clean and cozy, thanks to the ladies Yolanda and Angela. At night the rooms were heated, had cable TV, but lacked internet / WiFi connection.||The beds were great and they served us quite good meals, thanks to Ms. cook. Herminda, trying to please our culinary preference.||The restaurant service was also very good, thank to the kind waiters Gilberto & Joel.|| ||The manager of Termas / San Luis, Mr..Robinson, was outstanding, helping us to solve all our little problems. An ideal place to disconnect and relax from everything for a while...||The two pools were well maintained, nice and very comfortable. Since we visited the Termas in off- season, we almost daily enjoyed the Termas all to ourselves. :)||||Thus, our only complaints were that the hot water in the shower suddenly and repeatedly turned icy cold water and that the internet connection was futile, ... :(||||Costs 8 days accommodation in two rooms:||We arrived with LAN in Temuco airport and charged us $CLP120ooo (return) for transfer to the Termas / San Luis. So in short, we ended up with a holiday of eight days, at $CLP1.600ooo. || Of course, for the super rich Chilean politicians this sum is ridiculously low, but for poor retired Chilean monthly $CLP170ooo (!!) age pension, $CLP1.600ooo are a huge sacrifice, which we can only afford every 5 years. What a shame that our government treats its elderly so cruel ......
Read moreA mediocre facility with terrible customer service. From the time of making reservations to the service received during our visit, this was totally disappointing.||Lack of maintenance in bathrooms, poor service at the restaurant, and terrible information provided by the sales person at the moment of making reservations and by several staff during our visit. ||When you call the number in their website, they ask you to initiate a chat box via whatsapp with the seller (through her personal phone number); then if you want to make a reservation you have to pay via electronic bank transference (you need to get a bank account in Chile). After I made the electronic transfer (payment) I have to ask several time for a confirmation or a receipt. The seller offered me to send me the directions on how to get there, but I never got it, even when I texted several time the seller ans she keep promising that I’ll get it. At the reception they give you poor information about the facilities and services, and then contradictory information. The restaurant works only at random hours, has a poor menu, and remain closed even during the times that they are supposed to be open.||Please don’t go to Termas de San Luis, there is nothing good...
